:grrrrrr: :brick:
As some of you may be aware, the OH and I are currently looking for cats to adopt. We've seen quite a few recently, including today and well, to be fair, I could very happily take them ALL home! ;D
OH hasn't been keen on any yet. I think he's searching for perfection and I don't care whether they've got a chunk missing out of their ear or have a gammy leg! We keep arguing about it and its starting to get to me now. I saw 2 boys today, 1 black and 1 tabby. They were 7yrs old and were really affectionate. The tabby had the biggest eyes I've ever seen, he was a right bruiser! :Luv: However, the OH just didn't see what I saw and I feel SOOOOOOOOO frustrated!!!! :censored: :censored: :censored:
We ended our trip at the RSPCA at Radcliffe and he spotted a few that he liked but we ran out of time so we are gonna go back next Saturday and have a proper look.
My issue is that I'm feeling bad because basically we are gonna end up with cats based on looks and I personally think it doesn't matter, but as part of a couple, I have to consider his feelings and opinions too!
I know we haven't been looking long but I kind of dread going now because I know I'll see lots I could love but I know OH won't agree!
If it was 100% up to me, I'd have chosen my furbabies by now and the wheels of adoption would be set in motion.
Just needed to get it off my chest
-
what a shame but in fairness to your oh he isn't alone on picking on looks - hope you find who you are both looking for soon
-
I think he needs to feel a connection rather than going for a certain look. He might not even realise that too....I can understand your frustration, though.
-
I would have been the same as you...more than happy to adopt the first suitable cat(s). I remember when I was first looking (overs 5 years ago now). A local rescue had a pair of b & w sisters who were about 11 months old and I was happy to have them just from talking to the fosterer on the phone but my then OH wasn't interested. I still feel bad now and hope they went to a good home. I then ended up with the gorgeous bourneville and I wouldn't change him for the world.
-
As I walk away from all these lovely cats in desperate need of homes, I feel so much guilt :-[ :(
I want to hit OH on the head!!!
I'm easily pleased you see. When I look at these cats, I see them sat there unloved and I want to be their knight in shining armour and take them home, and cuddle them, and love them, and be there for them.
I don't like this feeling. It makes me want to cry :'(
-
The first cat that came to live with me when I left my parents was Mog who I lost recently and I know what you mean entirely. She was so sad in that pen. And when she looked at me with utter desperation I felt the choice was made; she chose me. And I'm glad beyond words that she did.
Give him time. He might still be getting to grips with sharing his home even if he wants to.
-
I don't want to give him time :evillaugh:
I can't understand what the problem is. We want cats. We've seen lots of them. They are all lovely. Why is he being so picky!! >:(
......sigh :(
-
:cuddle: I hear ya. It'll happen. ;)
-
Sometimes it takes them a tad longer to fall in love - most of mine are already in situ when OH comes home but he takes a bit of time to get used to them - he lives in HUll Sunday night to Friday morning and never knows what he is coming home to - his month in Trinidad last year saw Aztec and Maya in the guest bathroom - they were tabbies and he fell in love - took him a bit longer with my Jet and Turbo my black feral babies from last year
I think sometimes they just know - we foster two oldies with more issues than mmost the late great Bert and Moose - he took them to the vet for checkups and they ended up staying and the vets did ask what the hell we were taking on both had many problems but he fell in love with 2 battered oldies with no chance of a home
Currently he is having a problem with Sweetie our Clan leader who was diagnosed as diabetic 3 weeks ago he has yet to inject his oldest daughter - we had a diabetic feral before so he can do it he is just scared for his Princess so I do it and don't worry
When the cat is right he will surprise you with the choice
-
I brought home all three of my current lot without my other half seeing them first, after we lost Jasper he said "any cat, just not a white one" and i brought home Tristan whos cream.... thankfully he seems to love them but its difficult when you are a couple, im the same, would bring home any cat and love it but men (in general!) seem to be different. The right cat will come along soon ;D
-
I can remember going for my oldie and knew all about her  OH at the time did not know it had all been arranged and he wanted a kitten
Thing was I knew one of the home visitors and had bumped into her and yes it was a mercy mission as most of the staff at the rescue were scared of her so the rescue decided it would be better to put the cat down and she had until the end of the week.
I did put my foot down on the issue and the OH of the time has gone but still have that beautiful girl and love her to pieces even though it did take over a year to get her trust and even now family that she terrorised when she first came are still scared of her but can see how loving she is towards me and that is 16 and a half years ago and now it is a case of face each day at a time as she has both renal failure and feline lower urinary tract disease and both are under control.
As you may of gathered the OH is no more and to say this she is with me for good and the rescue she came from is no more.
-
Luckily my hubby lets me choose (or prob not, cos I'm hopeless, I love them all) but I do get his opinion and we both just really go for the oldest/neediest/least likely to get a home. Our last addition was easy he was old with lots wrong with him and going to be pts, even easier we never saw him other than a photo before adopting because I'm not too keen on going to rescues I get so upset and can't choose one from the other and come away worrying about them all :(
Good luck with your search!
-
Will he not let you choose? If not try a kick up the arse
-
I know what you mean about the guilt. We turned down two pairs before we got ours, and both times was because one of the pair was quite aggressive and I just didn't want to take the risk of rehoming a cat I was always going to be afraid of. But I still felt guilty walking away and leaving them there.
Kooky, I have to ask: is your OH 100% certain he wants cats?
If that's not the issue then perhaps he's looking for a specific cat - maybe identical to one he's had in the past. Or perhaps he's expecting a strong connection straight away - which I don't think happens often.
When he turns down a cat, can he explain the real reason?
I understand your frustration!
-
At 1.30pm today, Alex and I fell for 2 beauties :Luv: :Luv:
Both 3 yrs old. Female black & white and a male ginger & white. She's slightly longer haired with a very bushy tail and a very pretty face. He's quite a solid cat, short hair, very affectionate and very handsome! :Luv2: :Luv2:
The RSPCA at Radcliffe weren't 100% sure she had been spayed (the boy has been neutered) so they need to double check before we can pick them up.
I'm soooooooooooooo excited I'm delirious! ;D :Luv: :Luv2:
The reason they were in need of rehoming was because their owner has a terminal illness :(
The young girl at the RSPCA opened the top half of the pen and they both came bombing over and put both of their front paws on the ledge so we could fuss them. The little girl is fairly small and quite skinny, so we will soon fatten her up :evillaugh:
They were both fussing round us in the pen. The staff said that no-one had paid any attention to them, and they were worried that if anyone did, they would want to separate them >:(
It's going to be a long painful wait for that phonecall saying we can collect our new furbabies!
-
Congratulations Hun - Im sure they will be worth the wait :Luv:
Do you live near Radcliffe? I am only half an hour away from there
-
:1st place:
So pleased you've found the pair for you :) As tempting as it might have been to push your OH into a different pair it's obviously meant to be if you both fell head over heels with these two :)
What are their names?
Although you are forgiven as you don't have them home yet please don't make me post this >>>> :need pics: :evillaugh:
-
Thanks!
We live in Huthwaite (J28)
I'm gonna try and post a pic I took in their pen. Although I've attempted to resize it but it might end up small >:(
-
;D that's great news and well done, they sound great cats and really in need of a loving home now :Luv: :Luv2: look forward to photos of these gorgeous kitts, adopting 2 together is great in my experience and great they won't be separated.
-
Thanks Helen - as requested, here is a pic and thankfully its posted big!!
We are changing their names (they are currently Miffy and Munchie) but we don't like them. Gonna wait til we get them home and see what their characters are like and then see what suits them. If anyone has any suggestions though....feel free to let me know! ;)
Thanks Janeyk!
-
What a gorgeous pair! :Luv: Can't believe they were being overlooked
-
They are even better in the flesh :Luv: :Luv: - pic doesn't do them justice at all
-
they are gorgeous. Glad you got your way!
-
Oh my they are lovely!!!!! :Luv2: :Luv2:
-
Awwww congratulations hunnie ;D ;D ;D
They are adorable :Luv2: :Luv2: :Luv2:
-
They are sooooo beautiful.
-
I voted for Jaspur and jess
-
I could swear in that last pic they are saying 'Oh look, here come our new slaves - get a move on , you two'
-
Thanks everyone. I've not stopped smiling since meeting them. I'm like a kid at christmas waiting to get them home! :evillaugh: :Luv2:
-
I've just seen that second pic - even cuter! :Luv:
Would be nice when they're settled to take a few pics for the rescue to forward onto their previous owner, I know if it was me I would feel so much better if I knew my boys had found a loving new home and were happy
-
Bless them :Luv: :Luv: So pleased for you
-
:Luv2: :Luv2: Awwww, just look at them I love them! it so reminds me of when we adopted Smokey and Timmy together how they are looking as if to say 'please take us home' (I'm a soppy drip :-[ :evillaugh:)
Can't wait to hear more about them myself
-
I totally agree with you Helen re photos. I had to rehome my much loved ragdoll Beau as he was so stressed being in a multicat household, and it was making him ill. Since we rehomed him as an only cat to a lady who was home all the time he hasn't had any problems. We get regular updates from either her or the ragdoll club that found his new mum and it has helped a lot.
-
I bet you won't rest nopw you have chosen them. I bet it must be hard thinking of them still there!
-
We keep looking at the pics on my phone. It won't sink in that they are ours until they are home. It's all a bit surreal at the moment!
We are gonna talk to the RSPCA about informing the previous owner - because as it is not really a "rescue" case in the true sense of the word, as in they were not abandoned or treated badly...their poor owner is dying! :'( Hopefully we can get some "settled" pics to them in time before they pass on to the next life.
I have a feeling its gonna take us ages to choose names for them!! :tired:
-
Oh so cute :Luv: :Luv: cant believe they were over looked. Hopefully it wont be long before they are in their new home :)
-
Ahhhh aren't they gorgeous. So pleased they will be joining you

I think that's a wonderful idea, and it will be sure to make their previous owner feel much happier knowing that they will be loved and cared for
-
SO glad you've found cats that suit you both - and what cuties!
I think letting their owner know their cats are now in a good home is a great idea - it'll be a tremendous relief for her/him.
-
What stunners!
-
I'm of the opinion that you don't choose a cat - it chooses you. I know what you mean about feeling like you're picking based on looks though - which is probably why I rang the rescue I got the nutball from saying "I'm a sucker for a hard luck story." Hopefully when our house move comes through so we're not at the mercies of landlords anymore we can pick up another hard luck story too (anyone know any more slightly insane tripods in Nottingham? :D )
My hubby is utterly smitten with the mog he acquired when he married me though - she may not be a looker - but she's got the most hilarious personality you'd ever hope to meet - if I'd looked at rescue cages and not been directed straight to her with the hard luck seeking - she'd have been overlooked completely poor thing.
-
Awww they are gorgeous :Luv2: :Luv2:
-
What fantastic news!!! And they are absolutely GORGEOUS! Obviously meant to be! So happy for you ;D
-
Oh that is so exciting! It will be such a happy ending for them, and it would be lovely if their former owner could hear about it too :wow: They both look gorgeous :Luv2:
-
I think this calls for .....
:yayyy: :yayyy: :yayyy: :yayyy: :yayyy: :yayyy:
-
Cannot wait to meet them mate and will bring girls round to meet them once they have settled.
-
Such beautys! Congratulations! When can you bring them home?
-
can we all come with you when you pick them up. It could be like a purrs day out!
-

Yeah....why not!
I pick them up 2moro morning. Alex rang RSPCA today to check about the collection time etc and he asked them if they could let the previous owner know that they had been rehomed...and do you know what they said??? "oh we don't do that, we don't have any contact with the previous owners"
>:( >:( >:(
Nasty :censored:
-
RSPCA are really not fit for purpose >:(
could you try and get a letter printed in your local paper, mentioning the cats' former names?
there'd be a good chance someone would tell the previous owner the cats have found a loving home
-
Let me know when they arrive - I am tempted to pop round after work to see them
-
Let me know when they arrive - I am tempted to pop round after work to see them
Feel free to mate!! I'm picking them up at 10.45am (although I've got a niggling feeling they'll turn around and say I can't take them for some stupid reason!!)
Really wish it wasn't the RSPCA I got them off.....sigh >:(
-
They are adorable :Luv: Fingers crossed they will be investigating their new forever home by now ;D
-
dying to know how it is going!!
-
:waiting:
-
She just this second posted on facebook that they are home!! :drink:
-
They've been home for approx 15 mins... Exploring the living room/kitchen/dining room. They do not appear to be timid or nervous. They keep wandering over to me for nudges...and they don't dart off if I move near them.
I'm so in love! :Luv: :Luv: :Luv: :Luv: :Luv: :Luv:
Will keep you updated with their progression and will take some photos as soon as I can ;D ;D
-
Just need to add...she may looks sweet and innocent but she's a right fiesty little minx! :evillaugh: She battered the hell out of his head whilst in the carrier on the way home!!! Poor lad just sat there and took it! Didn't fight back! :Luv2:
-
I will be round after work mate x
-
I will be round after work mate x
Fab! x
-
Just need to add...she may looks sweet and innocent but she's a right fiesty little minx!
I think it's a girl thing!
-
Just put out some food and she came straight out of her hidy spot and started troffing! ;D
RSPCA said "they probably won't eat for a couple of days" - errrr.....she obviously aint bothered about being in a strange home! ;)
So far I'm getting the vibe that she wears the trousers in this relationship :evillaugh:
-
Excellent news, sounds like they will settle in no problem ;D can't wait for the pics. Rest assured the girl will always be the boss in that relationship
-
I think it is safe to announce that the ginger boy is called Cooper!
They have both eaten well.
I was sat on the floor and Cooper came over to me, nudging me like mad and then plonked himself on my lap! :Luv:
I can't quite believe how loving he is considering he doesn't know me! ;)
-
Still deciding on a name for the little girly... She is being a little more shy, but when she does come out for a wander, she isn't afraid to come to me, and doesn't seem to mind me stroking her.
They've also both taken a couple of treats from my hand ;D :Luv:
-
Oh bless him, he is gorgeous. How old are they again? Are they brother and sister? Have they been together since kittens
-
:wooooo:
So glad they're home! ;D Sounds like they're settling in just fine :Luv2:

Nasty :censored:
I wonder if the person he mentioned it to was aware that their previous owner had to give them up due to a terminal illness? I guess they wouldn't keep in contact with owners who had 'dumped' their cats for no good reason but surely in these circumstances they would want to let a dying man/woman know that their beloved cats had found a fantastic new home.
It's actually making me quite teary thinking about it, if that was me I would have been devastated to have to give them up and would want to be told so I could go to my grave happy in the knowledge that my beloved pets were once again loved and cared for.
-
Helen - I asked again this morning and the woman said they have no information about the previous owner. It was the brother of he/she who brought the cats in.
The RSPCA did say that each person who brings animals in are told that they can ring up to see if their animals have been rehomed so....we live in hope that someone does ring up and ask about these pair of beauties!
Well, Cooper has well and truly made himself at home. He's currently lounging on the sofa like he's been here for years! :Luv: ;) He's being very affectionate towards me. Think he's defo a mummy's boy :evillaugh:
The little girly (still nameless) however is still hiding behind the sofa - bless her little paws :Luv2:
-
Oh bless him, he is gorgeous. How old are they again? Are they brother and sister? Have they been together since kittens
Si, they are both 3yrs old. Not sure about whether they are related, the "oh so helpful" (i'm being sarcastic there, in case you didn't notice :evillaugh:) RSPCA didn't seem to know.
I can only assume they have been together since kittens - they do seem very close (although at the moment they are not together - he's claimed the sofa, she's hiding behind it!)
-
Thats fab news, they certain seem to have landed on their paws :Luv2:

Do they have a success story page on their website, perhaps you could pen a little paragraph and a couple of piccies when they are settled.
-
A couple of piccies of my precious babies :Luv:
-
stunnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnning!
What about Mia? Jess? Kira? Kylie  Ellie?
-
Well I met them both earlier on today and all I can say is that they are bbbbbbbbbbbeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaauuuuuuuuuutttttiiiiifffffuuuuullllllllllllllllll. so wonderful. :Luv:
I did cry though and will have to stay away for a little bit as they female reminded me too much of my Vesti (RIP) but honestly guys they are beautiful :Luv: :Luv:
Should say at this point to those of you that don't know - KookyPoss is my best mate which is why I was round so quick lol
-
they are lovely :Luv:
-
Wonderful cats and do hope the former owner finds out they have a good home,,,,,,,,,I suppose they could be so ill that they are not able to do anything :(
They obviously were well looked after and much loved...........Cooper looks right at home ;D
-
Nik, I felt awful about you getting so upset... hope she doesn't cause you to stay away forever hunnie! :'(
Had to put the buster collar on my little girl tonight cuz she was frantically licking her spay wound :scared:
Cooper keeps freaking me out by staring at the wall and nothing is there! He even reached up and dabbed the wall! I'm wondering if Possum is lurking, checking out the new arrivals and deciding whether to give her seal of approval! :evillaugh:
Poss' would have hissed like crazy at them....she was such an anti-social cat (just like her human dad :evillaugh: :evillaugh:)
I'm getting rather anxious now that we haven't chosen a name for our girly. Never have I known it to be so difficult! :-:
-
Awwwww, they're absolutely gorgeous hunnie, and look right at home already ;D :Luv2:
Cooper is a real dude and from that lap shot looks like he hasn't a care in the world!! Will have to think of some possible names for your little girl, she's very pretty isn't she :Luv2:
-
They are so cute.
How about Macy for the little girl? I dont know why it just kind of came to me when I was looking at her picture.
I hope they both settle in soon
love
Tab
-
Hmph! Why no more pictures! :need pics:
-
I love them both :Luv: Cooper is such a handsome hunk and looks like he scores high on the cuddleability factor. The poor nameless girlie is gorgeous too and really needs to have a proper name soon! Have you got a nickname for her? I can't just refer to her as the nameless one!
It did actually take me a few weeks to name Jaffa and Magpie - Jaffa was referred to as gingernut in the meantime and Magpie was "the black and white fluffy one" With Mosi, I tried lots of different names on for a few days at a time before settling on anything permanently just to see what seemed to suit him.
-
We've finally chosen her name! Peanut!
Some of you may think wtf have we done but we love it and think it suits her dainty little features :evillaugh:
Some more pics.... :Luv: :Luv:
-
awwww well if you like the name then don't worry! it suits her! Why does she have a collar on?
Has she come out of her shell a bit more?
They really are beautiful. Ella and Effie want them as their new best friends!!
-
:Luv: :Luv:
-
They are gorgeous - I think I love Peanut :Luv2:
I'm so glad you have cats to share your life with again - they're ace

She licks her spay wound and RSPCA said to have it on when she's not supervised - I took that pic before I went to bed last night.
She takes her time - she hides and then braves it and ventures out. But when she realises that she isn't going to be murdered, she nudges and fusses round us like crazy! She LOVES Alex - proper daddy's girl!! :evillaugh: :evillaugh:
-
They are gorgeous - I think I love Peanut :Luv2:

We feel soooooo blessed and privileged to have them. We are sooooo in love with them :Luv: :Luv: :Luv: :Luv: :Luv:
-
Awww The one of Peanut and Alex is soooo sweet. Nice to see she is coming out of her shell. :Luv2: Cooper on the other hand, what a little tart he is! ha ha!
How long where they are the RSPCA do you know?
They are such sweeties, I am so in love.
So after Alex's shenanigans, did he instantly know they were the ones?
-

I suppose she would. Ella and Effie were still young when they were done so were climbing curatins and stuff rather than lick their wounds!
You will probably find Cooper bonds with you more. Although Ella and Effie love us both. Effie is definetly Sean's cat and Ella is mine, we have never treated them any different but they have chosen it that way. Ella has never fallen asleep on Sean. Effie has fallen asleep on me but she prefers it to be Sean!
-

Peanut is sat on the desk helping me type this. She's got such a delicate little meow! She keeps chirping at me!
Think there were brought in on the 9th Sept (i think...)
Yes, as soon as they flew off the shelf in the pen to greet us, he squeezed my hand really tight (this was our signal if we liked a cat! :evillaugh:) and he just said "Yep - these are the two we're having"
He's been coo-ing over them ever since! :Luv2:
-
Well it was probably for the best as they seem such loving cats! Ella is on my lap and Effie is nuzzled next to Sean and even tho we were devastated when rescues said no to us, now i am glad they did as otherwise i would'nt have the girls.
I am working on Sean for a boy when we move tho
-
The more I look at these pics and I keep looking at them as they are gorgeous, Peanut suits her!!
-
:evillaugh: I'm sure you'll get your way....just guilt trip him a few times :evillaugh:
We initially wanted 2 boys but I'm so pleased we have one of each ;D
-
:Luv: :Luv:
-
:Luv2: :Luv2: :Luv2:
It's not Sean I will need to guilt trip, it is Effie
-
Have to say I have a particular soft spot for Peanut! Absolutely love the little expression on her face :Luv: :Luv:
-
:Luv2: Aww they somehow remind me of Tom and Jerry (my rescues back in the nineties, RIP). Lovely to see paws well and truly under the table so quickly, you definitely got chosen.
-
I :Luv: Cooper!
-
I love their names, they really suit them.
They are both gorgeous (my favourite colour combinations of cats :evillaugh:)
-
They are both gorgeous and obviously have found their loving forever home

Awww I think Peanut is a fab name and really suits her ;D ;D ;D
Gorgeous pics, they are settling wonderfully with you guys, definitely a match made in heaven :Luv2: :Luv2: :Luv2:
-
They are just gorgeous :Luv2: I of course have a soft spot for Cooper given my love for gingies but Peanut is soooo cute, such a sweet face :Luv2: They have obviously got their paws well and truly under the table and they are very lucky puss cats ;D The names are great too ;D
-
Our Peanut here at the Clan says welcome to the world of the Nuts:) ;D
-
Thanks everyone for your lovely comments!! Cooper & Peanut give you all a nudge to say thanks for saying nice things about them ;)
Peanut woke me up at 1.30am today, she was very demanding in her nudges and wanted snuggles! She then spent the rest of the night on our bed :Luv:
Alex introduced them to catnip earlier.........they are now hooked
I don't know whether this is normal behaviour in general or for them, but they have hardly spent any time together. They don't sleep together and Peanut has (on more than one occasion) dabbed his head in an unfriendly way! :scared:
I just expected them to be glued to one another :-:
Oh and one of my FB friends gave me rage earlier today, by posting this comment on my photo album of C&P " they are just cats Hayley " :grrrrrr: >:( >:(
-

Our two (Drum and Bass) are ten-year old sisters and they don't spend any time together at all - or they haven't so far (we've had them for about ten days now). They don't fight but there does seem to be a little bit of tension between them. Maybe it's still early days and they (and your two) need more time to settle down together.
BTW, just ignore your "friend" on FB. Anyone who says "they're just cats" just doesn't get it and aren't worth getting rage about.
-
Ella and Effie have grown up together and spend less time together now. Effie can be a bit hissy and tappy with Ella. I feel sorry for Ella as you can tell she never knows what reaction she will get from Effie. Sometimes Effie will put her head up to let Ella clean her and others she will bitchslap her. However Effie is the one that goes to investiagte what Ella is doing if she is not around. They have a mild dislike for one another but are never far away from each other either!!!

Gorgeous cats :Luv: I am not surprised you fell in love with them.

They are just gorgeous :Luv: :Luv:

They may just be exploring their new home separately. When I brought Jaffa and Magpie home from the rescue at 8 weeks old, they totally ignored each other for about 8 hours, even though they were confined to one room! Jaffa snuggled up to me and played with me whilst Magpie played with toys that were out on the floor. They then seemed to discover each other after several hours!
It's also possible that although they get on, they aren't that close. Jaffa and Mosi aren't close but when they were in a cattery together they apparently slept snuggled up to each other. Safety in numbers I reckon. Cooper and Peanut may have appeared closer at the rspca than they actually are in real life. But as long as they are ok with each other I wouldn't worry about it. Many cats, even littermates, grow apart as they get older. Jaffa and Magpie basically did their own thing once they were adults, just coming together now and again for a spot of grooming. Jaffa and Mosi interact a bit more but that is mainly initiated by Mosi! Although it's cute to see, I think it's actually quite rare for adult cats to be really close to each other and sleep together a lot etc.

You know what all my cats are like mate, sounds normal enough to me.

Very bad form to have favourites with such very beautiful puds but whilst Cooper is undoubtedly a very handsome boy, Peanuts is just glorious and just look at the length of those whiskers  :Luv: :Luv: :Luv:

Peanut is a very pretty girly indeed and she knows it! :evillaugh: Cooper on the other hand, although admired by others, does not realise himself how handsome he is.. :Luv:

I'm taking them back to the RSPCA 2moro for their final jabs. Hope they don't think I'm sending them back for good! :scared:
-
I heart stopped then! I was like "WHAT". Then I got to the end of the sentence! phew!

I'm sure that's what'll go through their minds when they see the RSPCA sign! My poor babies :innocent:
-
Well hopefully you will be in and out so they don't get too stressed!
keep talking to them as hearing your voice will probably reassure them.
What a shame after such a short time you have to uproot them but it'll be the last time forever!

Gorgeous! Peanut looks very much like a whiter version of Milly, very similar facial expression :evillaugh:
My two had been together for 8 years when we adopted them and at first they were quite aloof with each other. In the first couple of weeks we even had a couple of fights  but they settled down pretty quickly and now they often groom each other and sit together. I do get the impression though that while Geoffrey adores Milly, she couldn't really care less whether he exists or not and will give him a swipe or gnaw on his leg if he gets in her way :evillaugh:

Cooper and Peanut are both totally gorgeous :wow: :Luv: :Luv2:

Totally agree! You (probably) have hundreds - or at least dozens! - of FB friends, but only two cats!
Plus, cats are NEVER rude about your friends! :naughty:
How are Cooper and Peanut settling in?
-
Jezebel - you wouldn't believe how well they have settled in...it's like they've been here for years! ;D
I'm more & more amazed by them every day and I fall even deeper in love with them. :Luv: :Luv: :Luv:
I wish you all could see them in the flesh and see how they are - words simply cannot express how awesome they are

You'll have to post some videos then!
