Took Silvie to the vets 2 weeks ago as lethargic and hardly eating. Had bloods done but all ok, kidneys etc fine. Had an anti inflammatory jab and ate when she got home. Had Loxicam to put in her food from then on but she refused to eat anything with it in! Her appetite is still very poor, and last night she was acting very strangely, walking around like in a daze, back legs a bit wobbly and she had a scab on her nose which I picked off - resulting in lots of green snotty stuff pouring out, a bit bloodstained. She was also sick 3 times and on 2 x she threw up rather a large hairball. Took her to emergency late night vets and they ran more bloods but all ok. Heart rate a bit slow, said she was dehydrated and one kidney bigger than the other. Temperature normal. A bit constipated. They gave her fluids under the skin, a pain killing injection, a rectal pessary to help constipation and said to contact my vet in the morning. I could have left her there overnight but it would have been around £1k and she is no longer insured :( That trip cost £414  On the way back the rectal pessary worked :evillaugh:, we were in my brothers car as he drove me as he has a sat nav, and when we got back I had to clean her up with some wet wipes!
Took her to my vets this morning and the locum there said the green stuff coming out of her nose was pus, and she prob had an upper respiratory infection, or it could either be a foreign body, a polyp or tumour. He gave her anti biotic shot of Covenia and said to see how she goes. Didnt want to rush in doing xrays, swabs etc as he likes to takes them step by step. Unlike my normal vet who would have wanted to do all that! I am bathing her nose, as still green snot coming out now and again. Her eye is watering too. I am really hoping its an URI and nothing serious. Anyone else had a cat with something like this?   PS she still is not eating.
-
Oh dear, poor Sylvie - and poor you, it is such a worry for you
-
Am glad the vet you saw is one who doesn't steamroller straight in Heather. Given that it may be one of a number of things. A very worrying time for you. Sending huge snoozles for Silvie and you and hope she's improved this morning xxxx
-
Poor Sylvie and poor you.
I hope the Covenia does its job and she is eating again soon. :care: :care: :care:
-
How is Silvie doing now?
-
Still not eating drinking. Back at vets. Her eyesight is very bad vet wants 2 refer for Mri but she not insured. Thinks its brain infection from nose, stroke or high blood pressure. Doing tests. Maybe drip. She very ill
-
Poor Sylvie, fingers crossed for her. Did her bloods include a WBC?
-
Aw, I'm so sorry to hear she's still poorly. Sending gentle snoozles for her.
-
I AM SO SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT SILVIE AND SEND BEST WISHES TO BOTH OF YOU
-
Sending gentle snoozles and headrubs to you both
-
thanks everyone :Luv: her blood pressure was fine as were all her blood tests and temperature, vet said if abscess she should have temperature. i asked one of my doctor friends he said you dont always have temp with abscess. She still has mucus and blood coming out of her nose intermittently. Vet seems to think it could be a brain lesion with not a good prognosis, or possibly tooth root abscess thats gone to her eye. Said there is a raised swelling in roof of her mouth and under her jaw so tomorrow she is going in for xray and anaesthetic and they will see if they can drain some fluid out of the lump in her mouth to see if its pus. She has been on a drip all day, and still has the catheter and bandage on her paw which she is not impressed with. So hoping its an abscess/infection/bad tooth and not a tumour :'(
-
A bad tooth would explain why she's not eating, poor thing.
-
Just popping by to say am topping up the positive thoughts for today's investigations, Heather. Thinking of you.
-
Fingers crossed it is an abscess from a tooth.
-
Just made a fool of myself bawling at the vets while I left her. Vet is concerned that she has lost more weight since yesterday and both eyes seem to be affected. She has prepared me if she finds something nasty not to bring her round (more bawling) but she did seem a little bit brighter in herself today. I so hope its an infection :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(
-
Heather thoughts are with you and Sylvie today x Bawling at the vets shows how much you care for your baby girl, I have done it as well and one occasion passed out when they burst an abscess so know how you are feeling x
-
There's nothing foolish about being upset, and we've all cried at the vets some time, I'm sure they're used to it!
I've got everything crossed that your girl makes it through today.
-
You are in my thoughts today
-
we've all done it Heather  I found myself kissing the top of stars head the other day while talking to the vet :-[ hope lovely silvie is doing ok today
-
Heather, we're all rooting for you and for Silvie. Don't feel bad about it. I sobbed buckets when we had to let Tess go.
-
Fingers crossed the vet doesn’t find anything nasty and it is just a dodgy tooth. Vets are used to people being upset, I got introduced to a new receptionist once as ‘a client you’ll see cry often’! (that was when I had a lot of poorly cats and lost at least one a year)
-
I JION THE OTHERS. HUGS
-
I have cried often too, even at good news, they are used to it. All my love to you and Sylvie. :care: :care: :care: :blow kiss:
-
After a long nailbiting day and I couldnt face going to work so I lost a days pay, I rang the vet at 3pm. They were just in the process of xraying Silvie and she was under GA. I knew if the vet rang in the next 10 mins it would be bad news. She rang me at 330pm and said they couldnt find a bad tooth, no eye abscess but they were some suspicious areas in her brain. An MRI would give them more details but I can't afford another £3k :'( There were 3 options, 1) referral for MRI, 2) PTS or 3) bring her round and try her on steroids which may help reduce any inflammation. As all her blood tests were fine as well as blood pressure she was fine under the GA. I opted for the 3) option. Vet did say she couldnt tell from the xray but she was disappointed it wasnt a tooth/eye infection. She thinks there is some sort of brain lesion there but possibly could be infection/infllammation. I went back to collect Silvie who looked quite bright. They still think she is def blind but she does seem to see a bit. She has been wandering round my room most of the evening, keeps going into her litter tray but not doing anything. She hasn't eaten since tues pm but I left 2 dishes of food and she has actually nibbled some of it so thats a good sign. I always thought with brain lesions cats had fits, but vet said not always. So its back to vet tomorrow for another steroid injection. She said sometimes they have a rapid improvement with them so fingers and toes crossed it does help her. Then its just a waiting game. I am hoping it has just been some sort of infection that has gone from her nose to her eye and then brain and the long lasting antibiotic injection helps clear it. Hoping for a miracle really : Today's little visit for a drip, xrays and meds was £495. (Total vet bills this week £1250  Thank you for all your good wishes :Luv:
-
Heather, I can only imagine how you're feeling, but if it's in my gift, then I'm showering Silvie with millions and millions of healing thoughts and recovery vibes. Let us know how she is today. I imagine you won't have had much sleep, so sending a hug to you too.
-
I'm sorry that there was no definitive answer, do hope the steroid injection works. The antibiotic injection might not have been strong enough so I would ask when she could have a different antibiotic
-
Silvie did pace around quite a bit last night but she did eat for the 1st time since tues, and she ate 2 packets of food! the steroid did help. THis morning I was a bit unsure if she had a fit, I went into my room and she was running round in circles with a saliva bubble in her mouth. The about 20 mins later I heard her coughing and went in and she had a huge long string of green mucus hanging off her nose/chin  but the good news is I took her back to the vet and she has got her sight back, not 100% but def much better, and we both agree her eye swelling had gone down a bit. Vet said she was very pleased as the steroid has reduced swelling somewhere so she is a lot more optimistic. She even said look she is staring at me! She had another steroid injection and now got tablets and back to see vet on wednesday. She still not sure what it is, could be lymphoma, granuloma or infection. She said I should have taken into the green stuff she coughed up as could send it off for pathology, i said i nearly did bring it in but if it happens again I will take a sample in. So now a bit happier, oh and she has also put back on a bit of weight. It may be only short term but just got to see how she goes. :Luv2:
-
  Fingers crossed
-
I'm so pleased there's been an improvement.
Steriods are wonderful for reducing inflammation (and therefore pain). Whatever the cause of her illness, it sounds like Silvie is enjoying life again if she's eating well. I hope so much that she continues to improve.
It really sounds like an infection of some sort, doesn't it?
(BTW, I lost a cat to lymphoma many years ago, and his symptoms were nothing like Silvie's.)
-
I am glad that the steroid has helped Sylvie. My Sky eats a huge amount since she has been on steroids!
-
Morning sweetheart. How are you both this Morning?
-
Glad the vet feels there has been some improvement, fingers crossed.
-
So pleased that Sylvie is showing some improvement, long may it continue.
And a special  for you.
-
Silvie seems fine she is eating well jumped on my bed slept there purring head butting me😁no more green mucus or blood but she did make sneezy/coughing noises once last night. Her eyes seem fine and she ate her steroid pill after 2 goes. Really hoping still it was infection. Back 2 vets weds am for check up. Silvie says thanks everyone for your :Luv2:
-
Fantastic news! Hope Silvie keeps on improving.
-
Heather, that's great news. :wow:
Long may it continue
-
Popping by to say "Morning Silvie - how're you feeling today?" :catlove2:
Hope she is continuing to improve, Heather.
-
Thanks for the update, I hope Sylvie continues to improve. Sky has her steroid crushed into a small amount of food, and we have never had any problem with her not taking it.
-
Silvie was bouncing on my head and pillow at 4am :naughty: seemed fine this morning but refused her pill! I left it in her food before i came to work little madam!
-
My two love the little tins of Gourmet pate, so I hide pills in a bit of that - I have to hand-feed it to them, though.
Bass wouldt take anything with butter - not healthy, I know, but good in an emergency.
-
I was putting Pi's AB's in lick-e-lix and he scoffed them down, you'd have to crush it though.
I am so pleased that she is getting better. :Luv:
-
Butter, ham, cheese, lick-e-lix - whatever she'll eat! Norty cats are usually on the way back to good health in my book. ;) :)
-
SOMPLEASED SHE FELT LIKE BOUNCING ON YOUR HEAD
-

Yes i have the gourmet tins which she loves, but very suspicious as there is a very nasty anti-Silvie tasting pill in there :evillaugh:
-
(BTW, I lost a cat to lymphoma many years ago, and his symptoms were nothing like Silvie's.)
Did you cat have lymphoma in the brain or somewhere else? :(
-
Yes, Sky has half a tablet of prednisolone in about 10g of the Gourmet pate.
-
Did you cat have lymphoma in the brain or somewhere else?
I'm not sure, I think it was the liver (it was many years ago).
-
Hoping Silvie is still full of bounce. :)
-
Hoping Silvie is still full of bounce. :)
She certainly is :wow: back to vets tomorrow at 915am. Hope vet is still optimistic ;D
-
Morning Heather
Hoping that everything goes really well for today. ;D
-
Vet really pleased with Silvie today, although she kept wriggling when trying to have her eyes and mouth looked at! She has put on weight, up from 3 kgs to 3.3! She jumped off the table and walked around and then eyed up the window sill. Vet was saying look at her she wants to jump up there. Silvie then did! Knocking off a few things too :naughty: Vet wants to keep her on steroids for another 10 days and then see her back again. She stlil would like her to go for MRI scan to clarify but I haven't got £3k. She still not sure what it was, maybe a tumour with infection round it, but I don't think it was that, I am sure she would have been having fits and really ill. Hoping still it was a sinus infection that spread. But she looks so well at the moment I hope she stays like that. Vet said if any problems or she goes downhill again (which could happen but hopefully not) to bring her back. I did scare myself reading on the internet that if people/pets have radiotherapy sometimes it can cause brain tumours and she did have radioactive iodine treatment over 2 years ago, but I am sure I am just scaring myself and thats not the case. Will keep you all posted :)
-
Thanks for the update Heather, long may Sylvie continue to improve. :Luv:
-
This is such a good post to start the day. ;D Heather, it's natural you'll read up on it - we all do it. And whilst it can help us be "aware" and can give lots of useful food for thought, worrying about "what if" won't change the current position, or alter what is going on in Silvie's body, so I'd say let each day take its course, and see what happens. Hopefully, she'll go from strength to strength. Just enjoy seeing her making the most of life again.
-
ITS SUCH A WORRY WHEN CATS ARE ILL BUT I DO HOPE THAT SYLVIE HAS TURNED THE CORNER AND IS ON HER WAY BACK TO HEALTH AGAIN
-
Glad the vet is happy with Sylvie, fingers crossed it was just a sinus infection that had spread and she continues to improve.
-
Sounds like she's well on the mend, lovely to hear.
-
Silvie is still doing well, eating well and seems happy. Doesn't want to go out though. Still sneezing on and off but no more gunk or blood coming out of her nose. Still doing her best to avoid taking her steroid pill little madam! Back to vets on Friday morning for a check up. ;D
-
That is really good news Heather ;D Have you tried the cat putty for the tablets?
-
Yes she ate it the 1st time but not since >:(
-
Topping up the soothing vibes for Silvie xxx
-
Silvie went back for her check up today. Yesterday I noticed some green gunk coming out of her nostril again  She has lost a tiny bit of weight, gone from 3.3 to 3.2. No temperature. Vet thought she seemed a bit more subdued today than last week. Silvie prob knew she was going to have a greased thermometer where the sun doesnt shine, her jaw pulled apart, her eyeballs poked, her chest listened to and then a nasty needle in the back of her neck :( Vet took a nasal swab to send away, although one of my medical friends that because her last antibiotic covered her for 2 weeks which would have run out weds this week, its possible it won't grow anything. I'm hoping it does. Still could be a sinus/fungal infection, foreign body, or I was looking up fungal infection called Aspergillosis which can be found in cats noses/lungs, especially if they have a compromised immune system. As she had her thyroid zapped with radioactive iodine 2 years ago, I presume her immune system may be somewhat compromised. Should get the results back Mon or Tues next week.

SENDING SILVIE BEST WISHES
I DIDNT KNOW OR HAD FORGOTTEN SHE HAD RADIO IODINE TREATMENT LIKE MISA
-
Silvie went downhill again yesterday. Sat night she was fine, bouncing around, even came downstairs and sat with me and eating well. Yest she just lay on the bed, not eating or drinking and very lethargic. Lots of green stuff coming back out of her nose and she was sneezing and gagging . This morning she seemed a tiny bit brighter but I took her back to vet and she had some subcutaneous fluids as she was a bit dehydrated and a steroid injection. I then remember that when she had her 1st COnvenia anti bio jab a few weeks ago, 2 days later she was like this, lethargic with no appetite. She had another Convenia jab last Friday and 2 days later went downhill again, so maybe its a reaction to that? The vet didnt know of any cats having reactions like this but said it is possible. I also gave her an Advocate flea treatment Sat so maybe it was all a bit much for her? She is now sitting on my bed and has eaten a good few mouthfulls of food, so must be feeling a bit better. They took a nasal swab friday, so hoping to get results back tomorrow and see if it tells us anything............ :(
-
Poor Sylvie - it could be the Convenia jab, I wouldn't let them use it again personally - and the downside now is if the swab shows she needs a different antibiotic, she might not be able to have it until that has worn off. Fingers crossed for the results.
-
Oh poor Silvie, she's having a hard time.
It does sound like she's reacted badly to the flu jab, she's probably still fighting off whatever the mystery illness is.
Sending gentle snoozles to Silvie.
-
Might be worth pointing this out to your vet, 4% of the trial did develop lethargy - and this is just the first link I clicked on.

We have found Veraflox tablets better for green snot they are really tiny and can be hidden in most soft treats, they work a treat I think Covenia is seen as the total injections but sometimes the oldie like Synulox work better they come in liquid and tablet form
-
Sending soothing vibes for Silvie. Easy breathers.
-
I'm sorry that Sylvie is poorly again and am sending healing vibes ~~~
-
Fingers crossed that this is something easily sorted for poor Sylvie, and sending all best wishes for you too, you must be so worried.

I do think vets have forgotten that Convenia is only licenced for a couple of things, and think all pet owners like an injection so you don’t have the hassle of medicating, but unfortunately it doesn’t treat everything and as it is long lasting, you then can’t use something that might be more effective. I appreciate it’s usefulness with certain cats, but avoid it as much as possible personally.

SENDING LOADS OF GOOD VIBES FOR SILVIE AND HOPE THEY CAN SORT HER OUT QUICK
-
Any news yet, Heather? How's Silvie today?
-
Went back to vets today, the results of her nasal swab came back negative. Most likely due to her antibiotic injection that covered her for 2 weeks had only run out 2 days before. The vet did say it could have shown up something but it didnt which is a shame. She had another nasal swab done, even though she is on antibiotic cover still, but she put a syringe into her nostril a few times and got some good samples. She also took a laryngeal swab to test for virology i.e herpes, calicivirus etc. Silvie was so good! She had another steroid injection and while I was out this afternoon she ate a whole small tin of gourmet pate. She is still a bit sleepy but much better than sunday. Vet said its so frustrating, she really wants to help her and an MRI would tell where the problem was but I haven't got that sort of money. I wish the cat charities would have an MRI for poor people like me. I walked out of my job last week too! Good job I have just taken out a credit card, todays little trip cost me £329    There is still a possibility she has a foreign body in her nose, and they can flush them out but thats another anaesthetic and more £££. Will wait to see what the viral screen shows. Such a worry these cats are :( :(
-
Heather, am sorry all of this has come at such a crucial time for You, finance-wise. Hope you can get another job soon x
-
Thanks everyone for all your good wishes :Luv: Silvie had a good night, ate every scrap of food and sitting on my bed purring away. Am still trying to convince myself it is a chronic infection and she needs more than 2 weeks worth of antibiotic cover. :)
-
Thanks for the update Heather ;D
-
COME ON SILVIE THATS THE WAY
-
Silvies nasal swabs came back with mixed bacteria. This morning I had to rush her back to vets as she was fitting. She had 4 fits in the surgery. A different vet was on and he looked at xrays done few weeks ago said he could not see anything really suspicious but very concerned. Said it could be meningitis (hoping so) or could be a tumour. This morning she was fine, ate her breakfast and then just started yowling and fitting. My poor Silvie. They are going to give her a shot of Diazepam hopefully to stop fits and put her on a Metranidazole drip which is used to reach brain infections. Really hoping the bacteria from her nose has caused a brain infection. So horrible to see her fitting like that. Everything crossed for when the vet rings me later on. Has anyone elses cat ever had meningitis? :'( :'( :'(
-
Aww, fingers crossed for her
-
oh how awful for you heather, I've no experience of anything like this but just wanted to send you a
-
No experience of this, Heather, but am also sending my love and my strongest vibes for Silvie and you.  Let us know how you get on. Have everything crossed.
-
Poor Silvie (and you!), talk about a rollercoaster!
Everything crossed that the vet can find out what's causing this. Not knowing what you're dealing with is so worrying because you have no idea what's going to happen next.

-
THERE IS NOTHING WORSE THAN A CAT WHO HAS FITS AND SENDING LOADS OF GOOD VIBES TO SILVIE AND YOU
MY LATE NAPOLEON HAD SEIZURES AND THEY NEVER FOUND OUT WHY AND I USED TO HAVE TO INJECT HIM FOR A WEEK AFTER ONE
I DO HOPE THEY FIND THE REASON AND IT CAN BE CURED
-
How horrible for you both! I am sending you both lots of love
-
off to vets soon. Her bloods didnt show any infection apparently but low blood glucose and potassium. Apparently LBS can cause seizures. She has been on steroids for quite a while and I have googled it and apparently lots of steroids can cause diabetes which can cause fits. Interesting. Will update you later. Meantime she has been on Metranidazole and Diazepam.
-
GOOD LUCK
-
vet nurse got it wrong she didnt have low blood sugar. it was high at 13.9. She is very poorly, I have brought her home and she is in a cage in my bedroom. Eyesight gone in one eye and she is having little fits still. Vet still thinks its a brain tumour. She is on Metronidazole liquid and have to give her another dose through a syringe in the morning. (If she is still with me). Can't believe it. He said if it was a brain infection it would have showed up in her bloods, though I have a copy and looks like her neutrophils are slightly high at 22.19. :( :( :( :( :(
-
Oh Heather, so sorry to hear this. I've still got everything crossed that Silvie gets through this.
-
I AM SO SORRY TO HEAR THIS AND AFRAID YOUR VETS DONT SOUND THAT GOOD
WISHING SILVIE THE BEST WITH ALL MY LOVE
-
Heather, how are you both this morning? I'm so sorry the news doesn't appear good.
-
Heather, how are you both this morning? I'm so sorry the news doesn't appear good.
Ditto
-
Heather, I am so sorry that Sylvie is so poorly. Sending you both lots of love
-
Thanks everyone. She kept making growling noises during the night, hasn't eaten this morning, I didn't leave food in her cage overnight. Squirted the antibiotics in her mouth. Her head is bobbing up and down and I don't think she can see. I sent a copy of her blood results to a friend who is a retired surgeon and he said that white blood cells and neutrophils are raised so she def has an infection. The vets said no infection (tho he was a locum). Just have to see how she goes today and will try a get a steroid in her somehow. I know if its a brain infection its very serious but a slight chance of recovery. With a tumour there isn't. Just so strange that yesterday morning she was fine, and then suddenly just had the fits. :( :( :( :( :(
-
Heather, is there a different vet you could see? Maybe a different practice? You don't sound confident in the one you've seen so it's worth getting a second opinion - at the very least for your own peace of mind.
-
It's a shame my normal vet wasnt on yesterday it was her day off. I think Silvie is too far gone now to see a vet, she is stretched out in the dog cage with her head right back, just moving her front legs slightly. She is totally out of it. I had to go out and do my horse earlier, thinking when I got back she may have gone, but she is still fighting. She responds to my voice but she cant see and cant move. Its so hopeless :'( :'( :'(
-
Oh, poor little mite, I'm so sorry.
It's horrible feeling so helpless when they're sick.
Sending you both hugs and peaceful vibes.

-
Heather, sending you both much love
-
I am so sorry this isn't better news that I am reading tonight, you and Sylvie are in my thoughts. :Luv: :Luv: :Luv: If positive thinking can get her through, you both have so much.
-
I AMM SO SORRY TO READ THIS, SENDING MUCH LOVE TO SILVIE AND YOU
-

-
Well its seems like miracles do happen. I am not getting too optimistic but I woke up at 3am and looked at Silvie and from being flat out with her head right back she had moved and was sort of sitting in a better position with her head upright. Woke at 7am and she was still the same. Now she is more alert, I think she can see a bit, have squirted some water in her mouth, as well as her antibiotics and steroid crushed into water. She is def much better than yesterday but hasn't eaten yet. She is still in the dog cage but responding to my voice. Please keep sending good vibes her way :Luv2:
-
Waytogo Sylvie!! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

LOADA AND LOADS OF GOOD VIBES SILVIE, COME ON GIRLIE YOU CAN DO IT
-
Come on Silvie girl, we're all rooting for you!
-
Topping up the vibes xxx
-
Thank you all. She still not eating or drinking but more alert. I have syringed some water into her cheeks about 4 times today to try and hydrate her. :Luv: But apparently a side effect of Metranidazole is nausea, so even though I squirted a crush steroid in water into her, if she feels sick she won't eat. :(
-
Oh Heather, I've just been reading through your thread and I am so sorry to read about Silvie.
I'm thinking of you both and sending good vibes to Silvie. Come on little one, you can beat this!
-
I do so hope no news is good news :scared:
-
I do so hope no news is good news :scared:
Me too. I was thinking of Silvie this morning and hoping that she'd recovered. Fingers crossed.

COME ON SILVIE YOU CAN DO IT

Topping up the healing thoughts for Silvie.
-
Hi Everyone, I took Silvie back to the vets on Monday for a check up, she just sat there, walked a little bit. Vet was very concerned, said that her priority is with the cat, not the owner and if she didn't pick up she would make the decision for me. Gave her another steroid jab and she has to stay on the Metronidazole for another week and I had to let them know the next day how she was. Fast forward 2 days. Silvie was eating for England, she must have had about 5 small tins of Gourmet pate in one day  on tuesday I realised she hadn't wee'd for a few days, was a bit concerned so rang vet, she said may be neurological, tumour in bladder, blah blah, think they are getting fed up with neurotic me! anyway massaged her belly then carried her out to the garden and she had a little potter around, then after half an hour - she wee'd!! and wee'd. and wee'd. Feline niagra falls :innocent: Since then she has been much better, although I then realised she hadn't pooed since last Thursday and her belly was getting bigger and bigger! I put katalax in her food, olive oil, massaged her belly etc. She sat in her tray a few times and tried but nothing came out. Last night I went to bed and plonked her in the tray one last time, not bothering to look. A few minutes later the smell hit me! She had done nearly a week's worth of poo and I swear she was smiling! So from a cat who was comatose last Saturday to today, where she is coming downstairs, walking round the garden, eating non-stop its little more than a miracle. She is still sneezing quite a bit. She is still on the steroids and antibiotics, I just hope they are not masking anything nasty and that the new antibiotics have helped clear any infection she may have had and I can prove the vets wrong! :scared: :)
-
Oh Heather! That's great news. :wow: We should never underestimate the value of a good wee anna poo!! :shy:
-
Way to go Sylvie
And what a splendid cat nurse you've turned into, Heather
-
May have been a bit stinky, but, :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: Sylvie! :Luv:
-
THIS IS THE BEST NEWS TODAY, WAY TO GO SILVIE
-
Fantastic news! I hope she continues to improve!
-
Sadly Silvie took a turn for the worse yesterday. I took her to the vets and she had an amoxicillin injection and steroid injection but was very congested and nose all bunged up. She didn't eat but was walking around purring but very wobbly. At 1am she collapsed in the corner of my room, was sick, just water and then just laid down completely out of it. I tucked her up in an old quilt and sat with her for an hour, she was very peaceful but breathing heavily. I dozed and then woke at 6am as heard her trying to be sick again. I held her head up, she started gasping so I cuddled her as she lay down, she twitched a few times and then went :'(. I was so hoping she was going to get better but just wasn't to be. I know she is out of pain now, and I did everything I could, have £2k worth of vet bills on my credit card but I loved her so much and she was worth every penny.
