Cat Professional: Research Call to Cat Owners

Cat Professional, the world leader in providing specialist advice to cat owners and veterinary professionals is launching a number of online questionnaire-based clinical research projects. All cat owners are invited to register their cats in advance of the launch of individual studies. We’re especially looking for cats with lower urinary tract disease, hyperthyroidism, chronic kidney disease and diabetes mellitus. If you have a cat with one or more of these conditions, please register them now! Even if you've registered before please fill in the form again to let us know if anything has changed.

Information gathered in these studies will be used to further our knowledge of feline diseases. We’ll be passing that information back to consumers through conferences and updated versions of our books – ‘Caring for a cat with kidney failure’ is the first book due to be updated in 2011.

Dr Sarah Caney, Chief Executive of the organisation and feline supervet says  “normally as a clinician I only have access to a few patients at a time. However, through our owner database we’re now in touch with hundreds of very dedicated cat owners. The research we’ve done already has yielded some interesting results and I’m confident that our larger projects are going to help shape the care of cats in the future”.

To register your cat, please visit http://www.catprofessional.com/questionnaire.html now.

Thank you!
In ancient times cats were worshiped as gods; they have not forgotten this.
