It's OK....I thought it was pretty funny until I realised it was really hurting his toes! (Although, it is his own fault as I've never encouraged this game but he has. That'll teach him! :evillaugh:)

Ahh, that is true. We currently have an Argos mattress on an Ikea base and I stuff my hot water bottle down the side for storage. :shy:

Good plan but may I suggest you also save for an Ikea mattress as theirs are ever so slightly larger than normal ones and thus there is a gap between the end of the bed and the mattress, this is where I ahve ambushed from under the bed, they see a toe hanging over and attack through the gap!

I think I've figured out a solution....to buy a new bed frame with an end to it. ;) (I've been looking for one anyway because ours is about nine years old and a bit rickety - it was a cheap one from Ikea!)

Quite like this one - but will have to save my pennies. ;)

My two just grew out of it but I do remember well the ambushes!

Actually, Chilli still does it occasionally but what she likes is to pounce under any slightly lifted pieces of quilt or escaped toes at the end of the bed and you never expect it as she just does it randomly and is completely silent when she moves about :evillaugh: She also used to attack eyelashes so toes were always far more preferable!

Its very hard to train partners I'm afraid and it can be difficult to make them stay still while in bed. I suggest you put a sleeping draft in his Horlicks at night - it also means you may get more sleep as well.

There's something wrong with this plan.... The words 'training' and 'cat' don't belong in the same sentence unless it refers to the cat training its humans.  :tired:

My partner is 6'2" and his toes are regularly peeping out of the end of the duvet...hence the extreme reaction to the early morning ambushes.  :evillaugh: And yes, Firefox I suppose we have to be grateful for that. ;)

Through the duvet is one thing. Through thin sheets is quite another! Smidgen limits his bed-mouse activities to summer when all that is covering me is  sheet. Now *that* is painful!!!

Not sure how to stop "Bed mouse" hunting ... but I would suggest claw cliping will at least make the game less painful for OH  ;)

The only thing is age Im afraid (you could also tie OH's feet together so they dont move!  :sneaky: :evillaugh: )  :hug:

All of mine who Ive had from young have done it..... Its a kitten thing!  ;)

Mosi think bedmice is the best game ever  ;D  Fortunately he had grown out of it to the point that he only plays it in the mornings when I wiggle hands and feet around under the duvet.  Mostly.  Sometimes he does catch me unawares, esp as he knows to dive under the duvet if he really wants to catch them mice.
