Robbie the stretch finally got his booster Jab today, it was supposed to be done in February
the last two days He had been booked in, but one way or another He escaped  made another appointment for today
and finally got him in the cat carrier, which was a painful experience for all concerned  Got to the vet's, the door was locked :-:
rang the number just to get an answer machine  finally a receptionist opened the door, " can I help you?? " Yes I am booked in for
Robbie to get his booster.. " we don't make appointment's for Saturday's, it's only for emergency's! ................. :-: .....................
anyway , after explaining that he should have had them in Feb, and this was the third appointment, she said the vat won't be long
:)
The injection went fine, and I got worming drops, then vet carried out a quick examination, during which she pointed out Robbie has
two broken teeth  ? He certainly never had broken teeth last year?? one of the lower left side canine's has the tip off it, but the
top right Canine has only about a third of the tooth left??? ( it does look very short :( ) Vet asked me if he eats dried biscuits ok??
He mainly eats the dried biscuits and shows no sign of pain
still, it is a bit concerning, how could he have got broken teeth??
has anyone else's furkid had the same thing??
-
one of mine has a chipped canine, she had it when she came to me and that has been 7ish years, vet hasn't ever mentioned it and she has had a dental in that time
-
Seem to remember that Ducha had a broken one, no idea how.
-
Snap I was at the vet with Billie Jo for her second kitten injection and Master Mistral Border Collie for his Booster and Kennel cough but my vet is open on a Saturday
I have a couple with canines chipped or have been broken its usually crunching on what they have been hunting for - they don't usually bother them as the tooth seals its self only if they mention dental would it be worth worrying about - We have had 4 dentals this year
-
Third time lucky eh Stuart, glad you made it in the end! :evillaugh: Did the vet weigh him while he was there? Would be interested to know how much he weighs as he's a biiiiiig boy going from the recent pics of him.

7.9kg now Helen  :evillaugh:
hmmmm vet also mentioned a slight build up of tartar, so I'll keep an eye on it ;)
but I am guessing for a quick buck, dental will probably be sooner than later....
oh yes, cost for booster / worming drops, and I suppose you could say Quick examination = £48
-
Oh my bigger than Misa now :evillaugh:

7.9kg now Helen  :evillaugh:
Yikes! Maybe that's why they let you in despite the appointment mix up, they felt sorry for you after lugging him all that way :evillaugh:
-
:evillaugh: the vet wasn't overly concerned by his weight  when she first saw him, she said
" My...isn't he a huge Bruiser of a cat, Look at the size of his head "
:evillaugh:

He is gorgeous :Luv2: :Luv2:

Still have 2 cats heavier than Robbie - Master Casper Ragdoll and Master Star NFC and some of my moggies are nearly at 7kgs but he is a big boy like Leo but he is rather scrummy ;D
