Tan, I didn't read the instructions first  :(  Got overexcited at having won 2 items, wanted to round up the amount with a donation. Ended up adding donation of £25, which was not what I intended! Can someone sort this for me please?

I want to pay by bank transfer but when I click on the "pay now" button I get a "cannot display the web page" error.  Are there further instructions or shall I just use the details from the draw standing order and put AUCTION in the description (think I did this last year)?

Tan for some reason I was unable to log into paypal from the link on the auction page :(   I have therefore sent my payment as a donation direct from the paypal site .... can you please mark my items as paid when you get a chance.

Hi,
I'm having issues paying by PayPal. It keeps saying my password isn't correct but I logged into PayPal with same details and worked. Even changed password in PayPal account and tried again but no luck. It says it's a Sandbox account, is that a temporary PayPal account?

Yes, I was watching that right down to just over a minute and it took seconds to get the collars and it said auction end d !
That was the only thing I was desperate for.

I am starting my own sanctuary now for sick, senior and unwanted cats.

I can't be a charity as I don't have enough people to get involved and to be honest I rather do it alone, no hassle that way.

No funding either though .

I haven't made the payment yet, I want to do it by bank transfer. If it is easier for you if I pay and then have it refunded, of course I will do this.

My pay pal is being rubbish as well, I changed My password and it still won't let me in through the the link, but I can sign in from Pay pal directly.

I'll check back later, and sort the payment however is best for you.

can you give us a bit of time too see what happened with paypal payment option.  Thanks.  It was fine when we tested.  :innocent:

If you want to pay by paypal before steve looks into it tonight you can use the donations button on the bottom of the forum pages. Once you go to the paypal page and enter the total amount you want to pay in the box then click update then pay through your paypal or card as usual.

Thanks

Right am just grabbing somefing to eat (not eaten yet ooops! lol )  and will start updating with payments received

you will see in your my bids page, in my listings page and on the main auction page the status as each part gets done
ie
-1st status is Awaiting Payment (when auction closed)

-2nd is "payment confirmed" (i do that when i have received ya payment) when auctioneers see this status they can then send the goods out to winning bidders (not before please :) )

-3rd is "item sent"  A drop down box will appear once i confirm payment in the auctioneers my listing page to update when they have sent the item..

-4th is "Item received" The bidder updates this in their my bids page when they have received the item. A drop down box will appear in my bids page to select "item received" update

I know the bank details anyway so can just pay as normal... unless clicking that option is supposed to do more than just show the account details?

Hi hun

With the bank transfer option is will only tell you the bank details to pay cause ya need to go to ya bank to do the transfer.
It should of shown you a message with the Purrs bank details only.

If ya missed it any of da staff will tell ya the bank details by pm

This was one part we just couldn't get time free to test properly so been trying today and it's been manic lol
it was one silly bit with paypal and one silly bit with the bank transfer where we still had links to the old test site instead of this live site so that's why they weren't working and will only work now if ya hard refresh the my bids page to reload the amendment done to correct.

Hi The paypal  and bank do work now but you will need to do a hard refresh of your browser to reload the adjusted software or it will just use the old wrong one.

I am unable to help in the day as we are sooo busy on the shop   but will be back later

if you want to pay by paypal yes use the donate button, if wanting to do a bank transfer , ask a members of staff for the bank details and pop the transfer over then pm me to say when you have paid for.

Sorry it was a very long might last night and a very busy day today before i can get back to the Auction stuff.

Mary I had this problem. I spent ages trying to get into paypal. But it just kept saying my address or password was wrong. I don't know if it helps, but when Tan said to use the refresh button, I actually closed right down, and then re booted up and started again. And it worked. But it might just have been a fluke and nothing to do with completely re booting. I am sure Tan will get it sorted for you.

Hi Tan
I have just done a bank transfer for  £22 for my items I won - that was nice and easy  :Luv: :Luv: :Luv:  My bids say payment sent -  So waiting confirmation in purrs bank I assume.

I have just checked my listings and 8 out of the 9 say Payment complete. Does this mean the items are good to send?  - I have had two pms with the addresses. If all is OK I will label up ready. Most likely be Thursday before I get the postie.

I have to say that this new auction soft wear is the real biz -  BIG cheer for Mr Tan  :happy dance:

If your item has been marked as sent by the auctioneer  then the option to mark it as received will appear like this
(pic attached.) in your my bids page.

If there in is no option against the item as below then the auctioneer has not marked it as sent!  so they need to do that if they have sent the item and not marked it as sent before you can mark it as received.
Please contact your auctioneer to mark their item as sent in their my listings page.

If you have this option after the item has been sent, simply click on the arrow and select "item received" option and click the update status button underneath.
Title: Re: Auction has now FINISHED
Post by: Tan on December 02, 2014, 17:51:04 PM
all items that i saw as marked as sent have now been updated so will be in your my bids page to mark as received.

Please read below post if there is no option to mark it as received cause the auctioneer will have not marked it as sent. please contact them and ask them to update their my listings page with sent items.

We did this system so it is easy for the auctioneer to mark sent items , to see what they have sent and what is to be sent.

Also so we on the main list can keep track off all the items status and can chase up anything.

Thanks hun

it actually has been very enjoyable to do even though alot of work with building the new software this year but the idea with the new software is to save so much more work which it has :)

Slight stupid  blip with it at the end with us not updating the live links so payment section would work without everyone doing a hard refresh on their my bids page but lesson's learnt! lol

Will do a new thread at some point for opinions on the new software and ides for improvements for next year. Fink we do need to look at the end and see if any way to make it quicker/ easier to bid quick. ie like possibly a quick bid button on the main page.

It's amazing that something that appears to be so chaotic and random always runs so smoothly.  It shows what a lovely bunch of people come onto this forum ... we operate the auction on alot of trust and honesty and it's so nice to realise that there really are alot of very good people in the world  :Luv2:

On another post it looks like Bren paid on 1st December -

Hope I've done the right thing, I've won the lovely little butterfly brooch and sent my money via the donate bit.  If that's not the right way then very very soz.
Oops no I didn't. But the amount is quite odd - 6,01.

I have a couple of photos but they aren't very good, I feel like some sort of dealer!!!!

Only 2 toys handed over, but the throw that I emped them out onto has had a good kicking and been rolled around on!

Thank you so much.

OMG my fur throw is amazing.  It has been sniffed within an inch of it's life and then rossi has well and truly claimed it as hers.  No one has had a look in and by the look of things no one will

Tan to be honest it's not that hard once you get the hang of it.  I've sort of got it down to a fine art now  ;)  But the first year was a shock to the system

It's supposed to be a pet sized throw .... but I was hoping no one would like it and then I could claim it ... but it seems someone else has different ideas.

Lovely photos. Camouflage cat. So cute.
The throws are great, I won one 2 years ago, I was hoping the same that I would get a go with it. They last really well, and I turn it over every now and then for a change.

Bless her!

I have a cheap, animal print throw, it's very soft and snuggly. Alfie loves it, I try to keep Cleo away from it so that it remains Alf's. It goes on top of my bed at night, I know that is really why he comes up but I like to pretend that it's because he wants a cuddle from his meowmy!  :shify:

I had a 100% mohair blanket that mine adored - trouble was all the kneading left hundreds of tumbleweed balls around the house, which drove me mad, so it had to go in the end

I felt I was depriving them of their mother though :'(

Anyone know what is happening with the items that don't get paid for?  I had an auction that is still showing as unpaid and the buyer hasn't given me their address.  The nearer it's getting to Christmas the less likely it will be that I will be able to get it posted out.

They will be offered by Tan to the next lowest bidder and I sent her message last night to see what stage she is at but no reply yet.

Dont worry about trying to get them out before Chrissy now

I'm in the same position Karen, item not paid for and no contact from "buyer". Rather annoying but what can you do?
I'm away for a few days now so I can't post it out anyway, will have to wait til I get back  :(

Dawn you can have the one I bought for Thierry. He doesn't like it. Prefers his old one. You can look it up under auction items bought by Bickhamwitch.
If you want it perhaps you could make a small donation to purrs and I will post it to you if you give me your address.
Julie.

Thrilled to say I have recieved the items won in the auction. My cats went into their felt cat cave right away and it is definitely going to be used! Sunny Harbour is just a few miles from me and I know the excellent work they do so being a part of this auction has been great.  :thanks:

So first you 'steal' his bed, then accuse him of being a big girl  :evillaugh: Sam's right, his official name is Lucas although I thought he was a girl when I first got him (he's so pretty  :Luv:) so that's the second name he's had!

P.S In case you were feeling genuinely sorry for him, he has more cat beds than you can shake a stick at!

The cat apron arrived but I can't mark as received as I was 2nd highest bidder. Newbie was silly not to pay, it's lovely :evillaugh:

Another idea for nest year, been meaning to say it for a few years now

The links to the companies that have donated - could we have a forward and backward button so we can go through them? At the moment it only changes when we go in to another Purrs page to look at another thread etc.

I've received both parcels now Tan. These were posted Royal Mail 24hr delivery! One took 9 days to arrive and the other 12days. Terrible service from Parcel Force after paying all that money :( Anyway they are lovely and a huge thanks to Tan for the little 'extras' and the card. Callie & Monty will have a bulging stocking this year  ;)
