As far as I know, the lady is part of a couple and is in her mid to late 50's. There are visiting grandkids but I don't think there are any other animals in the home.

Bit more info - elderly lab that is cat friendly. Well, he lived with a cat for many years so he was friendly with that cat.
Has been established that a young cat is fine rather than a kitten. ;)

Hi
When I was living in Ely there was a cat protection branch there. They don't have a centre but have fosterers. Here is a link to their web page.

They seemed to have quite a few cats. Not all on their website.
I could contact them and ask if they have any suitable cat if you like?

Thanks - will pass on the link. I was kind of hoping an independent rescue was close by, they get less funding so was hoping to reduce the numbers for them a bit!

I don't think there is, I was looking for a place to volunteer in the area and they seemed to be the only place I could see. They didn't make much use of me, I only ended up helping them one day with their cat show.
There's this place http://www.catwelfarewisbech.co.uk/ but probably a bit far away.
