So glad Elsa's sent you this gorgeous sign, Gillian, to let you know she is waiting for you, well and safe :)

Thank you  :thanks:

I know I still look at places Gyp used to lie and I can still picture him stretch out waiting for a belly rub (Gyp was a dog of mine that pasted away last year, I know it is not the same but hope you understand what I mean)

 yes I do understand what you mean, so sorry about Gyp. I keep looking for her in all the places in the kitchen, but more so, I keep expecting to hear her as I walk in there, she always used to get up from wherever she was and do a little chirrupy meow to greet me.

I'm sorry for your loss it is exceptionally difficult when any pet dies as they are a member of the family, but after such a long time it must be very difficult .

Furbaby's have the weirdest favourite places to lie, sounds like you've picked the perfect spot - I know I still look at places Gyp used to lie and I can still picture him stretch out waiting for a belly rub (Gyp was a dog of mine that pasted away last year, I know it is not the same but hope you understand what I mean)

Oh well, tears in my eyes yet again, just picked up her ashes, hadnt expected them back so soon, and once again, like Suzie,  (although I was ready for it this time) there was a lock of her fur. I immediately took the casket into the kitchen and put it on the windowsill, as the sun was shining, and thats where she would lay - in a sunbeam. I can't leave it there though - well not with my clumsy lot! and I havent got any shelves where the casket could sit in the kitchen, so I cleared a space in the cupboard above where she used to sit next to the fridge and I've put it in there - sounds odd I know, in a kitchen cupboard, but the kitchen WAS her fav place, and I open that cupboard often (my herbs and spice cupboard) so it feels right.

I'd never have thought the windowsill was a comfy place to sleep, especially as its tiled, but she always looked comfy there:

Me too Sam, but I also feel like a weight has been lifted, I'd been worried about whether I'd recognise the sign that she was safe and sound, but I just knew this was her doing, and she did it in style!

I just got home from shopping, walked into the kitchen and felt sad because Elsa wasnt there - then went upstairs looked out the window and saw this wonderful glowing sky - and just knew it was a sign that she's arrived safe and sound at the bridge.
