Hi,
I am Justin and in one hour I should have my two new 7 month old black and white rescue cats Bill and Ben.
My wife is on her way to get them and my three children and I are so excited I thought I'd finally join this group to stop me pacing!
I would just like to say that Coventry Cat Group have been great and given us so much advice. We have had cats as children but this is the first time that we are responsible for them and so much has moved on in terms of feeding and equipment etc.
Looking forward to getting to know everyone and your cats!

Well we have owned Bill and Ben for three and a half hours and I can't believe how easily they have settled. Apparently they went into the carrier with no complaints. They didn't make any noise in the car and when they got home they came out and spent a few minutes looking around all the time coming up to the five of us for strokes and to rub their cheeks against us.
No signs of nerves what so ever - even though the children are quite young (6, 8 and 9).
Here they are. They have eaten really well - they really pounced at the chance of food. They have used the new litter tray. They love to play. Ben likes to watch the Wii! They have even been groomed with the new brushes.
All in all I am delighted and couldn't have asked for more.

Woo Hoo ... they sound like perrrrfect puddy cats!!! And I have to say .. they are both gorgeous. :Luv2:
Congratulations on your new arrives.
:welcome: Bill and Ben to the Purrs family.
Hope you don't mind ... I've amended your thread title slightly ;)

They certainly have settled in well. Great pics.

Thanks for the kind comments - the amended title is great!
They are now fast asleep on the sofa!

Hi Zeffer!
Lovely to see your 2 cats, they look very happy gorgeous cats :Luv2: you must all be thrilled, I love the names too.

Hi and welcome to the forum! Lovely to see Bill and Ben settling in i got quite excited when I saw the title and thought no - it couldn't be!
The lads were with me for a week or so, before going to a fosterer in Marston Green then back to Judiths when the fosterer stopped! They are both very confident kittens and it looks as though they have taken all the moving in their stride.
Judith will enjoy seeing them both on the forum so more pics and updates - I've just tried to phone her but she must be out with her dogs. Still, will be seeing her at the cat show in Stoneleigh in a couple of hours.
I hope you all get a lot of pleasure from you newly extended family!

Thanks for the extra bits of history. Judith told us that they had been moved around quite a bit. I really can't believe how confident they are. Right now thay are chasing each other around the room and the children (and me) are loving every second. I am really glad we decided to go for two cats - I guess that is part of the reason they have settled so quickly.
I remembered last night that we had taken in a cat for about a year that was abandoned when the neighbour burnt the house down (long story). When I went back to uni I gave her to my mum and she (Shrodo) is having a lovely life in Weymouth. I guess Judith gets the same feeling we did when she finds a new home for a cat!
Bill seems to like the sink:

   love the sink pic :Luv2:

What a wonderful ending and they are settling in great. I love black and whites ands I really love pic with them eating side by side ;D
My giant B&W was called Ben when I got him and had a little friend called Bill who went to a different home.

Hello and welcome to Purrs!
When Angie told me you had been on here I was really miffed I had missed you and them. I have had to wait until I got home from the show to see this. What a surprise to see you all today at the show too. It has really made my day to know that they have settled in so quickly.
Thanks for deciding to take on rescue cats, especially black and white, which so often get overlooked.
The pictures are absolutely lovely. I will show them to my children, who all have played a part in their upbringing.

Thanks Judith!
It was great to see you at the show and let you know how things are going. Ben is sat on my lap at the moment as I type and looks seriously relaxed! Bill is sat on the computer closely watching the mouse.
We got a scratching post and a cat tickler at the show and they love them.
I will keep adding photos to various threads - they deserve all the attention - it amazes me that B&Ws often get overlooked.
Thanks also for making the process so straight forward; your passion for the cats has really rubbed off!
