Oooh just spied this thread. I know Josh is a fully registered BSH but I never got his papers as he was a rescue. He says "Hi" to all his potential relatives.

I did want to find some of Smokey's extended family. He's most likely a bsb cat as he's not registered but it'd still be nice for him to feel special now and again. I found a picture of one of his great grandfathers (I think) and he's a proper foofball! I'll bring his pedigree to work tomorrow and start a new thread if the op doesn't mind  ;D

British Baby - Its taken a while for me to work this out but I think Marley is the half uncle of my two bsh boys. My boys mum is Coombepark Tiki, and her dad is the same as Marleys dad (i.e. Donjelami Munchmankin). They're currently 14 weeks old.  :Luv2:

I have PMd BB - I phoned the man and he said his ex-partner has taken the cat on a weeks trial. She already had 2 cats and a Jack Russell who gets on with the existing cats. He said it is looking promising but he will be in touch if it doesn't work out. btw - he said the older cat that bullied the other one is moping around the house now  :(

Obviously he has to do what he thinks is best. Another point I should make is that both mine are house cats and so would any additional cats have to be so if he is interested it might be worth mentioning this incase the cat is used to going outdoors. Whatever happens I hope this puss finds a good home so please let me know either way.

I will probably give him a call tomorrow if I get time as I am at college. I wouldn't be surprised if he has reservations about the cat going all that way to a home that already has 2 cats. I would imagine he is neutered. I didn't get all the ins & outs as I was busy finishing an assignment and am very busy otherwise as well. It's his call I guess.

My two are very placid. I introduced layla the kitten to Marley just before xmas without major incident despite Marley being an only house cat since we got him at 13 weeks old. BSH's are' typically' easy going so provided I take things slowly I should imagine I could integrate this one. Is he neutered? Speak to the owner and tell him the offer is there. I'm not sure how transport would work as I don't drive but see what the owner says first and then we'll cross that bridge when we come to it.

He lives in Kent. Quite a distance. We could either wait and see if he gets back or I could ask him if he is interested. I know ideally the he would rehome closer to home for the cat's sake but the right home is the most important thing. He said he was led to believe that BSHs are placid but his older cat terrorises the younger one.

I have a neutered male aged almost 2 (as well as a female kitten) would they mix potentially? I don't know where this cat is but I live in pembrokeshire (west wales). I'll be happy to help if it's possible

This is the link Julie (Pinkbear) found http://www.fernriverbrits.com/webfiles/lhair/longhair.htm

A british longhair?

Is the one up for rehoming a kitten or just an adult younger than his existing cat? Is the cat male or female?

I spoke to a man yesterday who needs to rehome one of his cats as his 2 cats don't get on. He said the cat is a long haired British Shorthair - I didn't think such a thing could exist but Julie checked and there is (the cat has papers). I told him to try the breeder first but she is unable to re domestic issues. He is going to try ped rescue, otherwise he will get back to us. The older BSH won't let the younger one in the living room  :(

Hi! I have just been given a beautiful blue smoke by the name of Advish Robina (Misty for short) and noticed when looking at her pedigree that she shares great grandparents with Marley, i.e. Moonsfield Silver Dazzler and Fyskez Missey Moosey. She is very good at hiding so I haven't any piccies of her yet!

Some fab names there  ;D

Mosi's ped name is Advish Hobgoblin.  Somehow I think they must have known something about his purrsonality that they didn't let on about, what with naming him Hobgoblin  :shify: :shify:

Yes Lottie you are so right

Ducha and Franta came to me called Wellington and Napoleon, or Wells and Naps and I added Ducha and Franta onto the front of their names which I was told they didnt answer too.

Their ped names are Adouzlo Boromir and Adouzlo Napoleon Devere and one of his great grandads was called Laurant Kubla Khan who was a grand Champ and used a lot for breeding Champ and Grand Champ birmans, so reckon Franta Napoleon had delusions of grandure from kittenhood

Have to think that Ducha was called Wellington cos of his bro being called Napoleon, little was it expected that he would go on to lose a leg!

2 of my cats had a relative on here!! There used to be a member called Alex who had the most gorgeous red silver NFC called Poppy (aka Belleneige Whisper Softly) and Poppy is full older sister to one of my stud boys Pinball (Belleneige Pinball Wizard) and half sister to Minxy (aka Svartalfheim's Sunrise Sunset) as I fell in love with Poppy and decided to take Boopy for a visit to Poppy's Daddy

Gill: Love the way Franta only answers to his posh name  :evillaugh:

I miss pics of poppy, she was a gorgeous cat :drool;

:omg: Freddie isn't obese at all! British Shorthairs are meant to be big and cuddly! Make sure that Freddy know's that the vet doesn't know what he or she is talking about and Freddie is gorgeous just the way he is x

Freddie is a bit miffed that people think he is "chunky"!

He prefers the word "cuddly"! Sadly, he and the vet disagree about his cuddliness, which has been mistaken for obesity in the past  Freddie soon put him right on that one!

Their calm, even nature and cuddle factor is what I fell in love with when I first met one. I fostered a lovely cream boy years ago, and knew then I just had to have one in my life (or on my pillow, in Fred`s case).

It took me a while to find the right one for my household, but Freddie is such a star. He`s so accepting of whoever or whatever wanders through the door, and is not adverse to a quick romp if the mood is right. He is very skilled at teaching kittens to raid wastepaper bins, drink from the tap or even out of the loo given half a chance!

Your little Layla has all the looks of a cuddle monster in the making too. :Luv2:
