Crikey! They all look domestic! I knew ferals could easily pass for domestic but how do you really tell the difference?
-
Fuchsia and Tula are definately feral :P
-
how can you tell??
-
Milly`s Mum what made you think that about the very loving Fuchsia and Tula ?
Well Done
Both Fuchsia and Tula were trapped by us when they were heavily pregnant, neither had a safe colony to go back to and spent many months with teeth bared and claws out, they now live a life of domestic bliss and enjoy being stroked but not picked up.
Any more?
-
Polly & Winnie are my next guesses :shify:
I know how ferals make themselves at home and they both look very comfy!
-
is that how you know? mmmm...interesting. I would have pegged Tula as a domestic as she looks nice and portly. But what do i know!!
-
Very good Polly and Winnie were the 2 mersey ferals attacked by dogs,Polly is a love but Winnie still needs some polish.
You are so right about them making themselves look comfy.
Still more ferals there Though, it just shows what wonderful housecats they make. :)
Kittybabe most of our rescues end up portly though Tula`s weight shot up because of medication for a skin problem.
-
Tula may be podgy but she has a slight squint in one eye, just keeping watch on everything!
-
Cat & Chat? Im stealing all the guesses muwhahahahah :evillaugh:
-
Tula is adorable...
I would take a guess as the Found Tabby...the only one that has a "look" about her/him?
But then Ivan also looks a bit Mr Mr to me...hmmm
I'm not so good at this!!
-
Winnie said she doesnt want any more polish, shes shiny enough and it tastes funny :evillaugh:
She has the expression of who me?!
Found tabby/ Ivan look like stray toms to me. Found tabby is abit close to the camera...
-
Milly`s mum your slipping , last guess was only half right
-
Which post was half right, Cat & Chat or Ivan/Tabby?
-
Sorry Millys mum I`m a bit slow and missed the Cat & Cat guess.
Now the old Catchat forum people will remember these guys well, as wild as they come, been working on them over a year and Cat allows me to stroke him Chat will affectionately nibble my fingers.
The Ivan / Tabby guess was half right.
-
OK Cat and Chat
dont know which is at the front but its definately a photo of my Tilly and as far as we know she was a feral kiitten and she is the most wonderul cat you could ever have, well :evillaugh:
-
Shecat
Cat is towards the front of the picture, both male .
-
Yep ,
Cat is the male version of Tilly aka Atila the Hun at the moment she is watching my husbands convalescent rat wondering when her meals on wheels are coming.
-
All those cats are stunning but of course I knew that Tula was feral. I never seen Fushia and she is so gorgeous. Cant for the like of me understand why Cat and Chat havent been snapped up cos they are so handsome. ;D
-
Gill,
Cat and Chat have a problem with men, they growl like crazy when my poor husband goes near, finding them an all female home with someone who will continue to put the effort in is not proving easy. Fuchsia has been with us a long time, she was Growee`s best friend.
Shecat,
That is strange I used to have a black girl called Attila the hun.
Amazingly there is only one domestic cat amongst those pics.
-
I would have loved to have Cat and Chat but sadly 4 is my limit, wish I had known about CC when I first came here and then I would have been able to take 4 cats but of course then the 4 I have wouldnt have homes and I love em to bits.
-
OK I still need to know. How can you tell a feral from a domestic?
-
Go near one ;D ;D
-
Go near one ;D ;D
Ha ha. Auntie Gill me saying PFFFTTT !!! From Lexy
-
Now Lexy behave.................you are not a feral are you? No I didnt think so, so get back on your mums bed and snuggle up warm ;D
-
I read this out loud to her Gill, and have no idea what, but she humped off to the bedroom got on the bed and promptly fell asleep. Come live with me please?
-
Oh boy
-
Go near one ;D ;D
Nice one Gill
I remember Cat and Chat and Winnie and Polly from CC ;D
Oooooooh and how handsome is that Ivan :Luv: :Luv:
Oooooops no I couldn't spot the difference
-
OK I still need to know. How can you tell a feral from a domestic?
The point of this thread was to show that You can`t once you have put the effort in and earned the cats trust. Ex ferals can be amongst the most loving cats in the world once you have earned their trust. They use litter trays and are no more destructive than domestic cats.
The only domestic cat pictured was the Found tabby one, and Tula, Fuchsia and Ivan the terrible all arrived here aged 3years plus from totally feral backgrounds.
So anyone to thinking of taking an ex feral on dont be put off Go for it
Ellie Ivan has never been called handsome before, the poor boy has all sorts of allergies even down to ears that curl up when he is suffering, we either say he looks well today or poor Ivans suffering today :)
-
I think those pictures made the point very well ;D
-
Apparently my little girls mummy was Feral (or part) - which could explain why Cruz (black & white) was very hissy when we first got them (8wks old). Both of them now are very affectionate and love nothing more than curling up for cuddles on our laps. Pic is when they were about 4mths old
