Hello Im new here..... a bit about me - I have a silver tabby maine coon boy called Simba who is 2.5 years old I have had him since he was 13 weeks. He is big but gentle and playful lad who is very wary of strangers so he isnt fussed with going outside - when he does he never leaves the garden (far too scary!) which is fine by me - it means I dont have to worry about him :briggin:
On friday we are getting another kitten, she is called Kookie and is 4.5 months old - Im very excited! She loves laps and purrs very loudly. Im hoping the introductions will be okay. I have read an article on how to do it successfully and I have had a feliway plugged in since saturday. Fingers crossed!
Hopefully below is a piccie of simba and a pic of the new kitty. (sorry about the size)
Roll on friday ;D

Oh boy - what beautiful babes! :wow: Simba is gorgeous - he has that typically lion-esque quality that main coons possess in abundance.
Kookie has beautiful markings too - like a snow tiger. A big welcome to purrs to all three of you :welcome:

Gorgeous pics :Luv2: Is Kookie a moggy or is she a particular breed? She looks beautiful whatever she is :Luv2:

Hi and thanks for the welcome - Im so excited about tommorrow ;D
Yep simbas lynx type coat does however mean everything I wear is covered in white fluff! Ive now taken to hoovering the bed covers because its the only way to get all the fur off!
Kookie is a breed called australian mist, they are a very popular cat in australia. She is definately a proper lap cat which Im looking forward to. Simba follows me everywhere round the house but prefers to sit next to me - he will have a cuddle for about a minute and then he is off!
Kookies colour is quite different - Ive never seen a colour like it before - its proper name is "lilac spotted" I think?

Aaaah they are lovely cats! All the ones I have met have been very gentle, affectionate and love cuddles.
Kookie is that plus a bit mental :Luv2: but then she is a baby and all baby cats are mad :Luv:

:welcome: you must be so excited (as if we didn't know)!
Hope it goes well, what a great adventure of sleepless nights and constant obsession ahead of you :naughty:
Kidding, only about 90% of them do that! :naughty:
Ok maybe 60% :evillaugh:
A new pusscat has a home, yah!!!

Well she is here! She purrs so loud! Sounds like a motorbike all the time, she only stops when she eats he he! She is such a cuddle monster, only seems to want fuss at the moment, although is playing a bit. Plus she has a loud meow! It very burmese sounding I think - very different to simbas meow anyway... :Luv2:
Ive asked a question on health and behaviour about the speed of intros if anybody is interested.
