Title: Homing visit tomorrow
Post by: LouiseJ on March 30, 2012, 16:01:43 PM
and they couldn't have picked a worse day......house will be upside down as we've got friends over for dinner.
Still, it gets the admin done and then we can go off to see if we are "chosen" as new slaves when we get back from holiday.  ;D

I'm really nervous!! House will be spotless apart from my kitchen and I'm hoping to be able to book our doorstep resident Fred who lives next door to take his usual spot by the front door and Benji who is next door but one and roll to have his tummy tickled to show what a cat friendly road it is!!
Will keep you posted.

 ;D ;D

Hurrah! All passed and we will be going to both of the local sanctuaries on the 14th.

Trouble is at the moment, next door's puss Benji has taken up residence. I can't leave the back door open without him wandering in.

He's asleep on the rug at the moment. He is handsome boy though so would make a lovely boyfriend.
We had friends round last night and he ran in as I let some of them in and look up residence - they all thought he was ours.  Something makes me think his nose will be out of joint soon!!

We're quite friendly with them and keep putting him back outside as he has a lovely home so doesn't need a second one. He's only taken to doing this since Friday so hopefully us being away will help him break his new habit!!

I'm off the day after we get back but I've been banned from even going for a look in case I come back with too many.

;D ;D

You know that sign you've been waiting for from Chelsea? I think this might be it.

If you fancy one/two of the cats or kittens on Purrs rescue/rehoming threads, don't hesitate to pipe up! We have folk zipping about all over the place so can arrange transport runs to get fab cats into great homes.

I won't Sheila! Have the day off when we get back so will be able to have a good look then.

This could be my sign but this is strange.....I had a reading with an animal communicator last Thursday night and then from when I got in Friday afternoon, Benji who lives two doors down keeps inviting himself in. Saturday night he scooted through the door when I let some friends in and went round to everyone for a stroke and plonked himself down in the living room. I had specifically asked if she minded that I might get a couple of kittens....

Well, maybe she's communicating to you through Benji!  :)

I know you think Benji would make a good boyfriend, perhaps she's thinking that Benji needs a girlfriend? Just the one?

Or maybe a new young Mum and her kitten (thinking - yeah - Rosie's just had three kittens...)

One great thing about Mums is they bring the kitten up for you  :sneaky:

You get to play, Mum gets the sticky bums and bad manners  :evillaugh:

Of course a young Mum like Rosie, or any of the other young Mums currently within the Purrs Network, will be fully socialised themselves (and spayed) before they are re-homed, so you'll know exactly what you're getting and yet these young Mums are barely more than kittens themselves so have a great deal of kitten-ness in them, and living to catch up on!

Oh it's such a big decision to have to make and there's some persuading to go with it!!
Happy to do the bringing up but as you say, Mum gets the icky bum.
Still I can't even think about it just yet.
