Title: Training?
Post by: kymberleyc on July 23, 2015, 09:25:22 AM: I'm just wondering if anyone else had trained their felines?? I've got Millie to sit, stand, stay and paw. Paw is the cutest thing!! We are working on lie down at the minute. Everyone is amazed and has never seen a cat and trained but it's not abnormal is it??! If I could post a vid I would, can I post a vid? X

[One day I will train Moray to be my social secretary, and get him to respond to my emails. He does like to accompany me on Da Poota and I'm sure it's just a case of perseverance ;) ]

Post by: Purdy Bear on July 23, 2015, 12:31:18 PM: My last cat, Chloe, grew up with two dogs. I did training with the canines so she joined in. She did a lovely recall, sit, give paw and fetch. I also taught her body parts so when we went to the vets I would tell her what parts the vet would touch and she knew what they were.

I learnt her to sit first which was fairly easy but paw took a few weeks after. I sit and do it every night with her. Hopefully you can get your boys to get the hang of it, do you use their favourite treats? Xx
