My heart goes out to the parents/owners :'(
what sick evil person could do such a thing- I have many words to describe what i would do to them but sure most of you feel the same :'(

I'm so sick of reading reports like this.
No-one is ever caught, nothing is ever done. The only people who take it seriously are the animal's owners, the police are not interested because no law has been broken, and the animal welfare organisations just "condemn" it (gee, thanks - that'll stop it happening in the future!).

Hope you are talking about nationals because I am sitting here breaking my heart.

I dont think the animal rescues have the power or knowledge to catch random lunatics, im sure if they did they would do more than a jail sentence!
its the govenment that needs to give out more laws on this type of sick behaviour >:(

:'( :'(

scum of society that did it. Poor Huggle RIP. Must be dreadful for owners

Sorry Theresa, yes I was - I certainly wasn't referring to the rescues!
As in this case,
The Blue Cross animal charity also condemned the attack.
Either they or the RSPCA or one of the other big nationals always come out with a similar statement. Of course they're right to condemn it but it's just a cliche and doesn't achieve anything. The law needs to be changed so that murdering or mutilating an animal is taken as seriously as doing the same to a person.

I won't click the link (stuff stays in my head :() but agree with jezebel - something has to be done, this world we live in seems to be getting more evil by the day.
RIP little cat, you are worth a million of the sick scum that did this to you :(
-
how awul. that poor poor kitty. i like to think that what goes around comes around
-
Punishment should reflect the crime :censored:
-
What a terrible, terrible story.
I do know of someone's son who threw their cat at the wall and killed it when on Cocaine. They were only cautioned by the Police. I believe our laws should have mandatory prison sentences for such crimes regardless of the influence of drugs.
If you see my post s, you will see that our laws do not protect our animals.
-
Absolutely disgusting. This is all too common an occurance and the law should absolutely be changed.
Animals are suffering on a daily basis and nobody seems to be fighting their corner legally. There was a colt dumped dead in a ditch near my home recently. Nothing much said by the police. They spoke to the owner (who was outed by local horse community facebook users) and nothing came of it, aside from the Council grumbling that it was 'technically' dumped on private land so they didnt want to move the body....
unbelievable....
Cats being attacked, dogs being stolen for fighting. What is the world coming to? :(
-
I'd like for Karma to catch up with the sort of scum bags that do this and for them to know the same level of pain and terror that they have inflicted.
Some of our friends had the most gorgeous friendly boy who used to go for a wander and was welcomed wherever he went. He went missing for a few days the year before last and ended up dragging himself home, unable to walk properly and in goodness knows how much pain. All the vet, who thought he had been swung round by his tail, could do for him was to end his pain and suffering.

Until humans stop treating animals as commodities, their lives will never be valued and nothing will change.
