Good morning fellow purrs......a quick update on my progress....I was popped onto the scale this morning and am tipping in at 500g!!!!
My favorite position when there is action in the kitchen is up on the counter so that I am part of it.....leave me on the floor and I squeal like a stuffed piglet!!!

unfortunately not, I had to start giving him more of the suspension muti from the Vet yesterday....he ate very little and seemed to be getting weak again but this morning he has had 3 snacks already and his tummy seems much better.
I feel silly asking but how much sleeping should he be doing? He is awake for maybe 7 minutes at a time for a snack, drink and a toilet trip and then he is back to sleep. Should I be concerned or is this normal for this age???????
-
awwwww ,kittens do need a lot of sleep
but they do play alot too ,all of my cats when they were kittens were all manic ,lively and running all over the place like loons
but bobby is very small and week so maybe thats why he is needing more sleep
if it was me id get him checked over by the vet again and the vet will be able to put ur mind at rest as to wheather he/she thinks its normal to be sleeping that much .
-
I think I'll do just that. His eyes are bright and he has started to clean his face and bottom a little which is a good sign. No signs of playing yet though...we are waiting in anticipation that.
-
He is wonderful and pleased he is putting on weight and has bright eyes and starting to clean himself..................we need to see his progress cos we are all in love ;D

-
:thanks: for all the messages...just back from vet - got loads of the science diet a/d tinned food and the vet reckons he is catching up fast. I wrap him tight in his blanket like a papoose and he loves the car.
Now I am waiting in anticipation fro him to start :bath:!!!!!
-
Great news ;D
-
awww glad the vet is pleased with him
hopefully that food might be better for him :Luv:
-
How cute is that baby!
-
:ahh:..... he just gets cuter and cuter by the second! He has started cleaning his face and attempts his bum but tumbles over as his balance is not quite there yet. He is asleep on dad's shoulder at the moment. His tummy is much better and he is eating like a lion!
-
Oh myyyyyyyy a baby lion ;D ;D
-
He is so very cute! :Luv: :Luv:
How old does the vet think he is?
-
He's beautiful
I know how hard it is looking after a sick lil kitten :(
-
We think Bobby was about 6 weeks when we got him - maybe a couple of days younger...the vet could not say as he was so malnourished. So he is about 7 weeks now. We are teaching him to clean his face and his bum and to play.......weird how he lacked all these skills.....amazing how important it is to leave kittens with their moms and siblings for as long as possible.
I wonder if he was seperated from mom and the litter very early on.
But hubby and I are thoroughly enjoying been his role models...... :catluv:
-
Susan how is bobby doing on the food u got from the vet ?
any new pics for us ? :evillaugh: :evillaugh: :evillaugh:

we are still on the Science Diet a/d/ tinned food.....he enjoys it and seems to be putting on weight. I will keep him on it - I have 4 tins left and then try him on the kibble. His tummy seems to be coming right. I had to dip his bottom in a jug of warm soapy water again to try and get rid of the dry poop! He moans a little but I know he feels so much better afterwards. His bottom is looking so much better and less swollen. We are looking forward to not having to wipe with wet-ones after each toilet trip!
