We had a mouse once. I went into the lounge and five cats were sat in a circle surrounding it, but none went for it. When I used to let my cats out many years ago, next door had a pet mouse, it escaped and my cat Tammy was on their front garden just nose to nose with the mouse then walked off. So I would say that you cannot guarantee a cat will catch mice.

I agree it would be nice to give Hippykittys cats a chance, although as you know they would need to be contained for a while, then again the mice are in a house so that would be OK, as long as they were flead and wormed regularly. You may just come to a load of mice heads and tails :( If it were me I would be getting human teaps, as I cannot stand to kill.)

My lovely cousin Simon has just moved into a new house with his other half and has discovered that it's really HORRENDOUSLY mousey in there - there's dozens of'em

Well, Si has decided that the thing to do is get a mog, or two, to deal with the problem in return for room and board.

They aren't at all bothered if s/he is friendly or even tame at all, they just need to be known to be a good mouser!

I'll put Simon directly in touch with anyone that knows of a suitable cat...

(PS to Schmew - this is NOT the same cousin of mine that may be offering a home to Figaro's siblings - don't worry!)
Spaying and neutering saves lives.
