I live practically in North Wales but sadly I'm not in the position to take another cat right now. Which is a shame! There is a Cats Protection in Wrexham (if you're close to there) who might be able to help you find a home?

Hope someone can take Pickles on soon! xxx

Ideally I would be looking for a home for Pickles within reasonable travelling distance of North Wales simply in case any prospective home did not work out - it would be easy to bring him back here.  :Luv:

He has had a big change in his life (losing his owner and holidaying in my back bedroom!) and I would like to minimise stress on him as much as possible.

Pickles has had his dental today - he has had four teeth out, a scale and polish and come home with 5 days worth of antibiotics.  His bloods have gone off for FIV/FeLV testing and should have the results some time next week.  He is a little (not so little actually) sweetheart and a real character.  :Luv:

Such a good boy.  :Luv:

I have taken Pickles to the vets this afternoon for a check over - his teeth are in quite a bad way and he is booked in for a dental next Thursday.   Some teeth will have to be removed, possibly including one of his canines.  I think I will have him tested for FIV too (not the in house test).  He is otherwise fine apart from this and behaved impeccably, bless him.  :Luv:

From what I can gather, Pickles had access to outdoors and for some reason was also fed outside.   He has however made full use of my radiators and certainly has been very settled inside since being here!

He is very talkative and affectionate - have taken some pics on my phone but not too sure how to download them.  He loves company and is very happily sitting next to me on the bed whilst I am typing this.

He has previously lived as an only cat so unsure how he he would react to others.

The lady i am hoping can give them a home is an eldery lady with a real love for cats the age is unimportant to be honest although i suppose that is a help generally ....

I will talk to her tomorrow ...Fingers crossed ..she does kind of take in all the local needy cats at the moment ( strays and ferals) but think that she would love a permanent cat all of her own ...

Does the cat go outside or is it an indoor cat ?

Hi Rosie and  :welcome: to Purrs

Thanks so much for the update on this kitty.  With regards to the introduction the following site has loads of useful tips on how to it http://wizz-catz.co.uk/introducing.html

Wishing you all a very Happy Christmas and big thanks for taking this little lad in for the festive period (or longer if he settles in well  ;) )

Hello everyone

This lovely cat is currently with me, he is called Pickles and is a complete sweetheart!

When I initially phoned Dawn I only had a description of him which turned out to be not that accurate.  He is actually 6 years old, neutered, white with patches of black (one of the patches is heart shaped  :Luv:).  He was registered with a local vet and his vaccinations are due in May.

He is a lovely friendly cat, full of purrs, chirrups and head butts!  I have three cats myself, one of them (Rosie) is blind otherwise I would keep him without hesitation.  He is however very welcome to stay here for as long as it takes.

I would like to check any prospective home myself just for my peace of mind - I am unsure how he is with other cats but will introduce him to one of mine when he has settled.

DiddyDawn rang me last night - a cat has been found in a house 2 days after his owner died, so he is quite desperate for a home. The person who has found the cat has no idea of the age, just that he is elderly, and pure white. We are hoping to have more details today. Can anyone help?
Please spay your cat
