:thanks:  Your thoughts and wishes must have helped.  At 3AM this morning Bell found his way home, about 2.5kgs lighter and with a sore paw (Looks like he got locked in somewhere) but he's home safe.

Regarding his name,
One in every litter of the family of cats he comes from is named after a plant i.e. Rocket, Basil, Spinach
My husband already named his brother Batfink and Bell was quite mischeavious and a bit sinister at times so deadly nightshade kept coming to mind however that is a bit dark so went for the latin Belladonna. That way the brothers are bat and bell, and boy is Bat happy to have Bell home.

Also before this sojourn he was quite large therefore there were parallels drawn between him and Bella Lugosi, however he has lost all that now as I believe he was stuck somewhere, however knowing him he'll gain it straight back

He is drinking and eating well, but quite tired and sorry for himself, I am sure he will make a full recovery

Thanks again

Did you know that Bella Donna (atropine) was once used by Spanish women to enlarge the pupils of their eyes and to make them look more attractive?  Atropine is still used by ophthalmologists to dilate eyes today.  I have to say, the ladies who used it cosmetically must have been somewhat braver than me as I think it :censored:  STINGS!!

Yes!  But many plant drugs are.  Used in the optical world, its safe.  I do think it may have been use as a poison in an Agatha Christie book though ......
