Well I had a horrid migraine yesterday and spent most of the day in bed with Woody. He is such a perfect little soul and didn't complain or mither. He has found the imple delight of falling asleep in a ray of sun

Hey!

He's OK, but still battling with the food!

He did a good solid poo in the tray in during the night, but then threw up and had a little bit of diareah (sp!) in the morning so it's just trying to work out what's going through ok - I think it might actually be the Whiskars which i'd left down for him during the day.

He got out of the room and had a massive spat with Katie though - he was the one chasing her... think we'll take intorducing them to each other VERY slowly!!!!!

Also the change of environment can also upset their tums initially, very often this happens, lots of small but easily digestible nutritious foods are ideal, glad he has kept something down.

Aww, bless him. I am sure he will gain weight quickly, and I would try and split his food up into as many portions as poss, I had to do that iwth my current foster when she first came, she got about 8 meals a day!! If his bloods came back normal, something like SEB or LActoB might also help with his upset tum.

Thanks - i'm just giving him little meals over the day and Liz who looks after the fosterers has just come with some Science Hills ID wet and dry as they vets say it may be an intolerance s we'll keep him on this nd see if things improve! He's kept down 1 and a half pouches today and so fingers crossed!

What food are you giving him? And how often, when they are that thin and hungry the stomach just cant cope with rich food, lots of little meals of bland food would be best, id opt for wet over dry as when it swells there may no longer be enough room in there!
RC sensitivity is more convenient than cooking chicken every day and seems to be tasty.
If it doesnt clear up then id ask for a sample to be checked out, before katy meets him too!

We just don't know what's happened to his head. It certainly hasn't been done by the gentleman as the other cats are in a better condition and been brushed regularly etc. I too think it looks like a burn as where it's beginning to heal it's scarring over like a burn rather than a cut.

He's not bothered by it at all and doesn't scratch orm cry if we touch it to clean it. I did come home to find bits of flaked off skin on the bedsheets, but it's more where he's been rolling over for tummy fusses and he's knocking it - bless him!

Very true.

Smoke who was adopted from a seedy rescue (we didn't know till later) is the one we know nothing of her backstory and every time she jumps on my lap I get a little teary eyed. (except the time she jumped into my dinner thinking my lap was clear)

His tummy will calm down, remember when changing cat food you have to do it slowly and add to that him not getting enough food....

Just make sure he doesn't gobble everything down or he'll just keep throwing up (one of my cats had this issue all her life).

I've only fostered twice before and they were lively, full of health kittens and so I worry loads about him - his tummy will settle won't it? His bloods and everything came back OK and he's a purr and cuddle monster...

... i'm already falling for his charms and just want to explain that i'll make it OK and he never has to worry about food or shelter again (isn't it crazy how they get to our hearts like this?!)

We've had to leave 3 there, but the guys sister will call in to check. As I say he's a lovely man and we've given him help until we can take them all in. The others are all together in a huge foster room and Joy, a grey and white female has given birth to 4 kits and Suzie has just given birth to 4 as well - phew!

He looks tiny, but they're all small cats and hopefully just some TLC and he'll be OK. He's the quietest of the group and was getting picked on lots so he's been moved here as it's nice and quiet (even my own cat Katie who is a little madam seems to understand and has kept away from him).

I think he may be a keeper

Well this little one is Woody or Bob (my fiancee calls him this for Bag Of Bones!) He was found along with around 7 other cats in a home where the gentleman has learning difficulties and has severly been taken advantage of by people in the community who have dumped their cats on him! They're some of the friendliest and lovely cats and he's really tried his best, but there's just not been enough food or care for them and Woody has suffered the worst... He's 5 and weighs 2.5kg and needs to put on around another 2kg. He's throwing up or having the runs with whatever I give him at the moment, but never stops purring or cuddling up to me. We don't know where the wound on his head is from, but he may always be a little bald!!!
