If you were to get details from chip company but not follow them up it, would it be logged on her details?
Fingers crossed she stays at home more

Great News but yes still a worry - all things crossed she will not wander again little minx xxx

yes still a worry, how do they get homes so near busy roads? I do hope they will keep indoors I wouldn't dare let her out.

Thanks to you, at least this time someone isn't turning up at their door with the news that their cat has been run over. You've done all you can do.  Here's hoping she stays closer to home in future. Well done anyway.

well that is good news, hopefully she was only near the road because she couldn't work out her way home (like Julie's Tilly a while back) - I'm pleased for them, it sounds like they really care

Well we've found the owners who were thrilled to have her back!!!!

It's a really not great area and it does go onto the road where she was found, but hopefully if they keep her in long enough it might not happen again. There's not really anything else we can do, she was neutered, chipped and vaxed so obviously good owners, just not a great area!

She's been missing since before Christmas whereas she normally just pootled up the street and back so maybe this will have scared her into staying put

I just hope I don't ever see her near my bit of raod ever again!

I'm pleased as they are lovely people, but I will still worry for her.

Without a doubt we will try and re-unite her, although the dilemma comes if it's on the busy road where she's been playing in traffic. I really hope that it's a nice safe home we can return her to but we'll just have to see!

Great news. So glad she is safe.

'I'm not sure whether it's local or not - it could be that she's wandered far from a really safe home!'

This is a real possibility. Obviously someone has cared enough about her at some time to get her chipped. I do feel that in all fairness an attempt should be made to contact them. If she has come from a good home someone will be over the moon to know she has been rescued and is safe. I know if any of mine got out and disappeared I would be hoping and hoping that they were found and checked for chip.

I'm not sure whether it's local or not - it could be that she's wandered far from a really safe home!

My colleague just dropped her off and feigned ignorance until Liz can sort it... she's amazing and would NEVER let a cat go back to an unsafe environment - she will do what's best for Phillippa (and she knows I wouldn't forgive her if she did any different!)

I just don't want the vet to contact the owners and for her to be whipped away again, but they are the vets we use all the time, so I think they wait for Liz to guide (here's hoping!)

I didn't have time to get photos (had to get back to my paid work!) but she's a little Felix cat who loves cuddles, radoiators and Whiskers!

Fantastic news - well done you.  If she has been straying it may be that the "owners" have moved and chip details could be out of date and then you will need to keep her anyway (fingers crossed)

Hey!

WE GOT HER!!!!!!!! (The only this is she's chipped....)
No luck last night, but got her this morning. Little girl around a year been straying for 3 months and painfully thin when she turned up at some student's house (they've been feeding her on and off) She's been out all night in this weather aswell...

I'll have to leave it with our welfare officer but i've told her that she CANNOT return her to that area, (i'd just steal her and keep her anyway!) and so we'll have to get round this one.... any advice?

J xxx

PS: The student's were calling her Phillipe so she's now Phillippa!

Fingers crossed you can catch him.

I'd help out but no transport (I will learn how to drive in this Country!).

I had Gizmo in a cardboard box with holes when I picked him up. As long as you hold the top down very forcefully it works.
