Just had the phone call I`ve been praying for from the man at the factory who is feeding the cats and the good news is he is going to help me with trapping the 2 mothers and 4 x 12 week old kittens, no idea where I am going to squeeze them as everywhere is full but will work something out somehow. The bad news is that Pierre is the only survivor from his litter so think I should just be grateful that we got him in time.

The raspy chest is almost replaced by Purrs. Think our little Pierre is going to turn into a spoilt little so and so just like Paddy Junior.

It certainly is.  How are his tremors, Teresa?

Sorry Christine forgot to say not a single shake and this morning he is climbing his tiny scratching post.

How is Pierre doing today?

Christine he`s a different kitten already, his shakes have virtually gone and he is able to walk, hes eating really well and is much brighter. His little chest is still rasping though, you can feel it when you pick him up as well as hearing it. We had to get cross with his old friends the flea family today who despite treatment 24hours earlier were still loitering with intent, the penalty for this ..crunch  He has done his first piddle unaided in his litter tray but we are still waiting for the poop.
He is simply adorable.

We are certainly a lot less worried about brain damage tonight, had a feeling his tremors were down to malnutrition, he is still having difficulty standing but will probably be running me ragged before long.

Phew, thought I was imagining it. Old Mog also walks with a slightly arched back now, which I assume is also age related.

Pierre is such a sweetie, bet he's settling in now. :)

What does a protruding breast bone look like?

I felt it rather than saw it and my powers of description are somewhat lacking other than to say the sternum juts out . It does protrude in older cats too.

What a little love. :Luv: Protruding breastbone - is that due to lack of food? Am wondering because Old Mogs breast bone protrudes but she looks in generally pretty good shape for 18.

Jaw and breastbone is down to interbreeding.

theres something about him that makes you fall in love with him at first sight.

I disagree.  It's everything about him.

I hope you can see him right and rescue the survivors of his family.
