Ripley is still doing well,  he is back playing (I know because he chased my feet under the duvet and woke me up at 5am !)  he is eating Tuna mixed in with his CD food and is drinking well,  fingers crossed he continues to improve.  We have a new floor being fitted tomorrow so I just hope this doesnt stress him out to much.

He is much better this morning,  eating his CD as normal this morning so fingers crossed he is getting better,  I spoke to the vet and he doesnt think it is calici he thinks it is just an infection where he has been so run down with the crystals and vet visits etc the ulcers are not bad and were mainly around where he has the lip damage,   (he had flu when Teresa got him as a tiny baby so I thought he may have been shedding ??.)  No one else seems to be off food or under the weather so fingers crossed,  thanks so much for all the vibes,  I am sure they have made him loads better as I have told him about each and every one xx

It does sound like calici to me - it can be highly contagious, but yours will have already come into contact with it., which is prob why the vet wasn't overly concerned. It might be worth getting some a/d from the vets, as too much tuna will make his crystals worse, bless him. They often find dry easier to eat with a sore mouth, but again, that could make his crystals worse too.

Wot, wot?  Wot's this I hear about the gorgeous and unique and incredibly wonderful Mr JOR?  Paddy says he absolutely isn't having it, and JOR is a supreme little fighter and has to get on his gloves and fight again, immediately!  That is "der Ordurr JOR!!"  :-:

And he also sends snuzzles and "pprrrfffpppts" as they're "rite importunt" in the getting betterer process.  Oh yes.   :cat rub:

And me also sending loves and snoozles to the favourite little guy who always makes me smile and go all fuzzy and warm inside.

I know hun, we had a boy with crystals in the past as well - we really must have that coffee and chat at tesco lol - but getting something inside him will help him recover
quicker - it is a calici flare up our boys were recovering well after a couple of days of meds for the chest infection

That is what I am worried about Dawn,   the vet wasnt overly concerned about us keeping him seperate from the others so I am not sure.

I just feel so bad for the little man,  so much has gone on in his little life,  he had the cat flu and the big part of his lip missing,  he then had a bad stomach infection which lasted for ages and he had to be in a cage and have meds every day,  he then had problems with his ears,  he then was diagnosed with a heart murmur,  then numerous trips to the vets for what they thought was cystitis which was then diagnosed as Crystals and now this infection,  when will it all get better for the poor boy  :'(

Just spoken to Steve,  JOR now has a respiratory infection and ulcers in his mouth so he has been given medication and we have medication to give him over the next 48hours (not sure what it is as Steve was driving when I spoke to him),   back to the vets again in 2 days to check how things are with him.  Poor little boy has had so many problems so far  :'(
