Like all the other southern rescues, we've had a very late and slow start to kitten season. :shify:
These little tykes were trapped by Pudding yesterday. Aged 5/6 weeks we think. Mum is a farm cat living in a rural area. She was trapped too and is being spayed today. :) She will be returned to the farm where she makes a modest living on the mice. Kittens came to be because I'm not impressed or intimidated with their silly little spats. :evillaugh:
We have 3 girls ( the torties surprise, surprise! :innocent: ) and the little black one is a boy. :naughty: They are eating just fine but are thin, packed to the neck with worms by the look of it but otherwise look very healthy. ;)

They are gorgeous :Luv2: :Luv2: - I hope my pregnant mum gives me little ones that pretty - and hopefully in that ratio - I could do without a litter of black babies, though why people don't want black kittens around here is beyond me.
-
Oh, it's very unusual for me to get a litter this colourful. It's normally wall to wall black kittens round here. :evillaugh: The last 3 litters I've had have been solid black. All except little Frankie who was unique because he had 4 white toes. It raised quite a stir!
Fingers crossed you get some too, Lesley. I know we love the black ones all the same but it does spice things up to get some mixture in there, doesn't it.

I'm hoping to have a ginger one in there somewhere; I have had someone waiting for a ginger kitten for abour 8 months. ;D
Must admit, yours have that look of shock about them at the moment but I am sure you will literally have them eating of your hand soon.
-
You are right... they were very surprised to find themselves at Hotel Pinkbear upon waking for breakfast this morning. 24 hours ago they were darting around a bramble bush and eating slugs. :innocent:
They are already a little less scared and getting used to being handled but still protesting. :evillaugh: Give them their due, they have already used the tray and left little jobbies for mumsie. :) That's a first because ferals usually try to eat the contents of the litter tray or sleep in it the first few days.
Pretty soon they will elect a spokes-kitten who will be sent to negotiate for extra previledges. I expect we will also have an intrepid climber who needs rescuing every 5 minutes and a dumpy one who always lags behind the others and gets lost. :briggin:
Sometimes I feel a little sorry for people who don't foster kittens like these because after you've been doing it for a while you actually look forward to their little 'games'.

They are gorgeous! Im sure you will have them tamed in no time ;D
-
They are gorgeous! :Luv2: :Luv2:

Good luck with these Julie. I have always preferred to foster adults rather than kittens, I only ever used to do one litter of kittens a year, it was quite enough for me!!
-
Too cute for words - all just yummy. Sounds like they have come to you just in time. Have fun!!! I've not had a litter yet this year - how I miss them all swinging off my pyjamas bottoms in the morning ;D
-
Oh Julie what a band of cuties - somehow those hissy little spitfires will tame down and be proper little poppets - I do so love the hissy ones :Luv2:

Soooooooooo cute! :Luv2: :Luv2:
-
I love the indignant look on all their faces as if to say "How dare you photograph me! Don't you know who I am!!! Do you not know I can burn you with my laser beam eyes. Don't push me. I'll do it!"
-
aaahh the joy of the little spitfires! :Luv2: they are gorgeous Julie and somehow I sense they are going to be quite the entertaining little bunch.
I see much fun and games ahead with this little lot - good luck with the Julie - am sure you'll need it ;)
-
they are adorable - I love a mad torti face but have a soft spot for pure blacks as well
-
Gorgeous babes! Sure they will be putty in your hands before too long.
-
Just beautiful Julie :Luv: :Luv: :Luv:
-
how are these little ones doing Julie?

Totally forgot about this thread... bit tied up with other problems. :evillaugh:
They stayed with me for about 2 weeks and then were transfered to another fosterer. :) I hear they did really well, 2 have been rehomed and 2 are still waiting. (See Sharon's thread in Homes Needed. ;) )
