Title: Anne's agony: the desperate plight of Britain's last circus elephant

'the terribly sad story of Ann the 58 year old elephant abused in a British circus for years.
The RSPCA looked into this in 2005 and said there was no proof and nothing they could do....!!!
Now here's the latest with photos on the desperate plight of this poor, poor girl...

Hopefully something will be done. Signatures now up to 1220. It will need continued pressure from media and animal welfare groups, I think, to put pressure on the government to finally ban the use of animals in circuses but every signature counts.

I keep thinking back to the case of the poor chimp and Mary Chipperfield.

I just HOPE Annie will be removed to a safe place where she can be with other elephants to live out the rest of her life in comfort

Police and RSPCA are investigating.
Needlesstosay, Bobby and Moira Roberts have denied any knowledge of this abuse. How can anyone who has an animal they love not be aware of a change of behaviour/mood and realise that something is wrong?

Just Pray all the coverage and petition will help Annie to be freed.

Cannot understand the Roberts family. Why can't they do the right thing and free Annie to a sanctuary. >:(

I have been reading that she is not kept in very good conditions at all :(

It's good they're assessing her physical and psychological needs thoroughly. Hoping for the very best outcome for her, she so deserves it :hug:
