A few years back I had a female dwarf hamster and she somehow got out at night and ended up in the kitchen of the flat directly below us!! The girl thought it was a rat (didnt have specs on!) but luckily hammy was saved by her bf who said no dont I think its someones pet!!

Some hamsters are good at karate so your kittens had better watch out.

Yes thanks Isabel, although he wasn't easy to catch!  Earlier this year he made it out of his cage, down all the stairs, spent some time in the kitchen then eventually got caught in the Living Room about 1.00am in the morning after being free for 24 hours.  Just as well we didn't have the kittens at the time  ;D

My daughter's Hamster (Malty) escaped from his cage last night & the only thing that made us realise it was our two kittens sitting with their noises pressed firm against the bedroom door when we got up this morning.  The daft wee rodent had dug up the carpet in an effort to get out of the door - guess he didn't realise what was waiting for him on the other side otherwise he wouldn't have gone to all that effort!
