The majority of our family are black :Luv:, Black and white or the tuxedo kids  :Luv: and my husbands favourite Tabbies closely followed by the tortie squad :Luv:

But I love all my multicoloured family even the the dogs are all different colour but they make up the very special Clan cats and dogs that I am blessed to look after

Good luck with the pregnant Mum and what do you means she's not black!!!  What colour is she and has she got a name yet ;D

I've never met you Teresa but I'm under no illusions how hard you, and your lovely volunteers, work and what desperately tough times these are for you

I'm sooooo pleased for Baby Bea (and Julie), really can't say who is the luckier one!  :)

Fantastic news for Rosalind's bunch, think their new owners will have their hands full with four kittens

Really hope the homing picks up for the older and bigger ones

All of Rosalinds babies are reserved to go and live in a big house with 2 doctors so I am delighted;

I'm so pleased about that.  ;D  I had a sneaking feeling they wouldn't leave poor Tom Snout behind.  ;)  Did yu have to work very hard on them.  :evillaugh:

Good news for Orlando.  Is he going where you thought he might?

Sending mega hugs for Baby Bea and Julie.   They've loved each other from day one but its still going to be an upheaval.  I have a sneaking feeling that Rob is going to miss Baby Bea

Fingers crossed that the new girl and her babies when she has them are healthy and don't give you any sleepless nights.

I will never understand why people don't want the blacks and black and whites.  I'd take them all if I had my way.  :Luv2:

More mega hugs and this time for you T - hope the pleursy is on its way out.

Julie has been a real star today, she came for Baby Bea, scrubbed the Pen out and then she went and brought the little pregnant girl in,although she isnt that little she is enormous. either way her kittens will now be born in safety so huge  :thanks: to Julie.

Pregnant girl isn`t black :-:

Aunty T - am hoping all the necessary magic falls on all of the babies - young and old - fesity and non feisty - to make sure everyone has an equal chance of getting a loving home.  What you do is not to be understimated by any pf us.  You rock!!

Now all of the black ones could come and live with me my favourite colour just as well you aren't closer or me and the big handbag would be coming for a visit

Sadly you describe rescue to a T and it is so sad that homes aren't forthcoming hence the reason I still have 6 tamed down feral kittens from last year but OH decided they are all staying as they are friends with all the Clan and we love them all

Thank you all for the much needed support, normally I laugh pain and troubles off but just couldnt this time;pleurisy is evil when your lungs are already damaged.
A bit about rescue, some people think its sit and cuddle cute cats all the time in reality its lose endless nights of sleep either bottle feeding or nursing sick ones;the phone is public enemy number 1 because you are having to refuse a minimum of 7 cats every day and then theres the constant worry about cat food, litter and veterinary costs, and thats before we discuss cat poop,on second thoughts I best give that a miss as we are currently using 18 yes 18x 30 litre bags of litter a week all of which has to be taken to the tip by my poor husband.
I am truthfully not pulling my weight and havent for some time and this makes me feel terrible, its Rob,Debbie,Julie,Carol and Natalie doing the hard work;poor Carol said last week that if forum people saw me they would be shocked,in truth you`d all run away.

Baby Bea has just left us and hopefully the little pregnant girl will be in it tonight.
Orlando has been reserved to go to live with 2 other former Paws Inn boys
All of Rosalinds babies are reserved to go and live in a big house with 2 doctors so I am delighted; we just need some magic to fall on adults and older kittens and of course the black ones big and tiny.

I agree. Takes an amazingly strong person to do what you do, Teresa. With a lot of love for the animals they're protecting. If only there were more folk prepared to go out on a limb for animals there wouldn't be the need for (admittedly brilliant) rescues like yours.

Hoping you're feeling better and great news about Bea. :) Also hoping for good news for Ivan.

I think, Teresa, we know.  :shify:

I, for one, am in awe of the way you shoulder the frequent anguish and heartbreak, the tears you shed daily and the physical pain and personal hardship you mask to continue your work.

I salute your team, without whom I know you could not continue.  :grouphug:

That's why its so important for us onlookers to try and lighten your day when we can, as sometimes this is all we have to give

Thanks Helen Sue and Sheila  sometimes some of the calls I get are so heartbreaking I have to become a robot in order to cope;today brought one of those calls. People say they dont read rescue or specifically Paws Inn updates because its too upsetting, somehow I always leave the worst off and only show nice pictures.
Sometimes the tough nuts amongst us need a bit of support so huge thankyou to you ladies for realising that

Baby Bea`s new slave first spotted her on the day Debbie and I trapped her last year, she has since spent week after week cuddling her and gazing at her longingly. I know that Julie is the best person in the world to cope with this mixed up little girl.

Thought you might like to see attempts at drowning the fusspots, dirty little ones are going to be bathed again later when Aunty carol gets here to help.

FANTASTIC news about Baby Bea - I would say that the new owner is very lucky but as I have been let into the secret of who it is then it's the other way round - Baby Bea is a very lucky girl!  :)

:shify:  Ooo - secrets!   :wow:    Fantastic news for all of those who've got homes lined up.

Sending very gentle snoozles and chin rubs for Ivan, bless him.   For you too, Teresa - well maybe you can skip the chin rubs and have a hug instead      :evillaugh:

Fusspots are doing fine, though they have developed a liking for getting mucky and so needing regular baths which is killing me,
Poor old feral Ivan the terrible has been to vets this morning, problems with his bladder again, Andy has given him steroid jab and convenia but because of the feel of things cannot rule out cancer, this hot weather has also caused his crackley left lung to flare up again, Andy says see how he goes and if no improvement Xrays ,we arent going to panic Ivan is well into his teens and very lovable and like all our rescues will be given whatever her needs.
All other cats doing fine, reserves on 2 of Olivias babies, 3 of the fusspots and Baby Bea which is just as well as I have agreed to take a poor pregnant girl as soon as we make a space.
Pleurisy, dont recommend it and still fighting
