:tired: Well, 'our' vet is off sick and the locum vet... chickened out!

So he's home again, un-interfered with, and with some yummy new antibiotics to try.

I'm not thrilled about this - I had agreed with our usual vet that it's in Ollie's best interests to remove or debulk this thing if at all possible as it's causing infection, obstructing part of his airway etc.

Sorry chaps, no updates for ages - I'm a terribly slack messageboarder, I know.

Ollie has been doing fairly OK with an injection of high-dose steroids every fortnight, but sometime during the Easter period he started sneezing and... well, hasn't really stopped since. The vet now thinks that he's got some kind of growth (hopefully a polyp) up/in his nose, and he'll be having a general anaesthetic tomorrow morning for them to do a bit of investigating and see if they can sort it out. If what they find is really bad news, then that'll be Goodbye Ollie time.  :'(

I'm trying to be fairly calm and optimistic about it all but he's an older cat with a brain tumour and generals aren't exactly a trivial thing to put any cat through; I'd really appreciate any good vibes anyone can spare over the next 14 or so hours.
