Well the vet has decided to leave the lump and see how it is in another month - if it does keep growing then he will remove it - if it stops he will leave it i think - so will see . She had her nails cut whilst we were there though !
Bungly isn''t so good though, snotty nose again and not eaten much for the last 2 days , back on Baytril injection today , tomorrow and Saturday and then finish the course with tablets . She has eaten a bit of egg custard tonight !
He also thinks the cancer might be starting to take its toll on her kidneys - so may start her on fortekor - although he did say to me  "when do we say enough !" - i suppose he means all the tablets - with fortekor that will take her to 4 every day and 5 every 5th day . :'(
Not having a good week this week - car trouble too -flat tyres !

The vet has cancelled my appointment yesterday as an urgent case came in i think to take Sophies operation spot today.
She is now seeing him tomorrow ( with Bungly -who is a bit snotty again and not eating much !!) .  If its definately being done she will stay and have it removed on Friday now !
At least i will be in all weekend with her if it is removed .
Had trouble with car too - flat tyre - left at garage last week to be mended - put on last night and it was flat again this morning -so its back to the garage and the spare is on it again - its one of those horrible temporary ones too !!
What a week !

Sending positive vibes for Sophie and a  for you.  Try not to worry about the anaesthetic.  As Gill says as long as they use the safest one and put her on her fluids there should be no problem despite her age.

that's right, my Schui was on fluids and Byron had her teeth out at 22  :wow:

Sophies Turn Now !! - op to remove lump on Wednesday
« Reply #1 on: November 11, 2009, 22:32:40 PM »
No end to my lot at the moment - Smartie and Winston are now okay .
Bungly is having a few off days and not been eating as much as she was , even with the extra  1/2 tablet .

Sophie has had a lump on her eyelid for a while now -the vet saw it a few months ago and said to leave it ( also due to her age , being almost 16 now ) .
It has now doubled in size and she is seeing him next wednesday and more than likely having it removed -i am very worried due to her age - although she seems okay in herself , she is getting on to have a anasethtic and i don''t want anything to happen to her .
