Anyone who does not recall this is the facility that held a party at New Years Eve during which Tusker (a 40 year old elephant already under death sentence because he was habituated to humans) was subjected to the most dreadful taunting and teasing, to which he responded with quiet dignity. He was, nevertheless shot 24 hours before the sentence was supposed to have been imposed, despite efforts to relocate him to a safe place....
