How long is it OK to leave dried food down for. Does it go off. I usually leave mine for a week and then replace it, the cats don't eat an awful lot of it, but a neighbour has told me she just leaves it there till it has gone, sometimes weeks.

mine never lasts longer than a day, maybe putting down a bit less would be better?

I do the same as your neighbour, my cats do like the dry food but luckily they don't overeat so the bowl can last a few days or a few weeks depending on how hungry they've been. I would imagine it tastes nicer the less time it's bene there but mine don't seem bothered and will eat it at anytime!

Thanks for that, Tiggys Mum. I seem to have been wasting an awful lot of food, so now i will leave it for them.

Leave mine down too but have to say it doesnt last long!

Mine mainly eat dried so I just put down their breakfast and dinner, and sometimes a little top up before bed, I leave it down. But there is no way it would stay there longer than a day.lol

We used to leave dry food down. maybe a couple of days worth at a time .......... those were the days ............ life was easy then :sigh:
We now have a hoard of 8 furry, hoovering, monsters and don't stand a snowflake's chance in hell of a dry bit of kibble surviving more than 5 minutes :evillaugh:
