Hi folks, not been on here yesterday cos I was in London all day for work  but I thought I would let you know that Dylan and Hobbes are now friends again  I think Hobbes just wore Dylan down in the end cos he was determined to be friends again  Dylan stopped hissing by Tuesday evening and was just running away but then I woke up around 3am on Weds morning to find the two of them asleep snuggled up together  :Luv: Hobbes is absolutely fine and has been running around like a lunatic ever since he came home so no ill effects at all.  :thanks:

It took a few days for Jaffa to stop hissing at Mosi when he came back at the vets but they did eventually kiss and make up  :)

I've never had any problems with mine hissing at each other when they've come back from the vets......I suppose they are used to the smells by now

Not quite yet Helen, Dylan is still hissing at poor Hobbes and giving him the odd swipe but it is getting better and they have been lying asleep on the armchair about 6 inches away  The trouble was that not only did Hobbes smell like the vets but he was very boisterous when he came back and wanted to follow Dylan everywhere and Dylan wasn't having any. Today Dylan is veering between hissing at him and then sniffing and giving the odd lick - Hobbes is very confused bless him  :-: I expect the fact that he is now neutered is confusing Dylan a bit too. On the recovery front Hobbes is fine, I split the two of them up last night which meant Hobbes kept me awake between 3 and 4.30 jumping onto the wardrobes and generally running around so I think you could say he has recovered  ;D He's used the litter tray for a wee but no poo yet but then he had nothing to eat from Sunday at 6pm until he came home last night so not surprising. He's being good and not licking himself too much so we shouldn't have any problems. Hopefully the two of them will be back to being friends in a day or two  :Luv:

Hi All well Hobbes is home acting as if nothing has happened and giving me heart failure by climbing on everything . He's had some dry food and some wet food and is happily exploring the house as if he's been away for ages. Unfortunately Dylan is hissing at him and having the odd bat of the paw sillly old so and so  I'm sure they will be ok once Hobbes stops smelling like the vets, am doing lots of stroking of both of them to exchange scents so hopefully it won't be too long before Dylan is happy again. Poor Hobbes wants to cuddle up to him and he's having none of it at the moment  :Luv: Hobbes says to thank everyone for all the hugs and kisses and he says he feels fine but he's got a feeling there's something missing

I remember a couple of years ago when I took Sooty in to have his lobbed off, god knows why but I must have had my soft head on that day but I burst into tears in the vets

I was like that when Max had some teeth out a year or so ago, I'd never had to leave him before and got all upset when they took him through the doors  :shy:

Glad the little lad is ok, albeit minus some body parts

I always worry too.  I took the day off work when I took Mosi in as I knew I wouldn't be able to concentrate on work with him at the vets.

He will be home in no time and expecting extra treats!

I hate depriving them before the vets too - anyway, I'm sure he will be fine - especially as his sensitive bits are no more  :-:

Hobbes' big day
« Reply #1 on: April 30, 2007, 11:02:20 AM »
Well I'm a very nervous mummy at the moment cos I dropped Hobbes off at the vet this morning at 9 am to be neutered  :scared: he's also getting microchipped and vaccinated at the same time poor thing. I have to ring between 1 and 2 to see if everything is ok. I know he'll be fine but it doesn't stop you worrying does it. The vet checked him over and said he was very healthy and then checked the relevant area and said he was very well formed down there if you know what I mean  :evillaugh: The worst bit was having to take the food away after 6 last night and try and feed Dylan without Hobbes getting any  Anyway just wanted to share with folks who know where I'm coming from, will try and get some work done but not sure how well I'll be concentrating.
