How it works: you bid for this, highest bidder pays Ron, I provide lesson. Just like it were a cake or a wiggly waggler or whatever else. :innocent:
Give your cat something to sing along with!
Ideal starter-offer present for a small kid. Would cost at least £40 from a teacher of my experience normally.
Greater Manchester - instrument and music provided.
You can have your lesson at my house in Withington or I can travel to you, depending on access. If you come here you get a cup of tea (squash!) and a biscuit into the bargain :tea:
:thanks: Christine for the idea!
-
How much would you charge them or is it free and you making a donation? Please just explain exactly how it would work ;D
-
 aaaaaaargh you've confused me now. No fair :'(
Hokay.
Winning bidder pays Ron. Just like if it was an actual physical item. I think. Does that make sense? :-:
-
Yes it does.......I see they bid for this , right, OK , understand now
Get some food in you silly person......me I am talking to cos I obviously am getting sooooooooooo confused
-
Just to clarify for all dumbos like me
Becca is asking you to bid for 4 x half hour violin or viola lessons or music theory lessons, she is in Manchester and needs easy access to properties and bids are being taken nowwwwwwwwwwwww :donate2:
Wow if I didnt live in Carmarthenshire, I have always wanted someone to explain music theory!
-
OOOOooo Gill you just gave me an idea. Ta!
-
Wish I lived nearer - I was thinkinking of taking violin up again - but would prob need to start from scratch as I gave up after grade 3 (30 yrs ago!!)
NO BIDS YET < LETS GET SOME BIDS FOR THIS WONDERFUL OFFER
-
Rebecca, this may be a really daft question as I don't know what's involved, but would the music theory lessons be something that could be done as distance learning? Or would you have to be with the student to play him/her music? If it could be done remotely, I'll bid for it because I love music and am woefully ignorant in the theory department :-:
-
I wouldn't be confident of doing a good enough job like that, Christine, but I'd certainly have a go if someone wanted me to!
-
Well I reckon where there's a will, there's always a way so I'll start the bidding off at £10 :shy:
I'm bidding on the music theory lessons option. If you can explain why atonal music is worth listening to (and I'm fully prepared to accept that it must be) it'll be well worth quite a lot of money ;)
TOP BID AT END OF SATURDAY
-
Oooooo what a challenge. :-: OK I'll give it a go, unless you're outbid of course!
-
FINAL BID SUNDAY - CHRISTINE 10.00
-
Transferring my bid from the other musical thread here, so £20.00 :)
TOP BID AT END OF MONDAY
TOP BID AT END OF TUESDAY
-
Of course, when I amalgamated my bids, I should have added the two together  to be fair (this has only just occurred to me) so I'll up this to £30...
-
Blimmin 'eck, Christine, I'm not sure I'm worth that much.... ;D
-
Well, clearly I reckon you are! ;)
-
Whoop whoop Christine has top bid of £30 ;D
-
TOP BID AT END OF WEDNESDAY - CHRISTINE 30.00
