It's a little bit complicated, but she's a big fan of blues style music. Memphis is a city filled with Blues. She recently went to Tennessee to see her favourite band, which can be described as blues infused indie rock (even though she's seen them tons of times here). Anyhoo, she fell in love with the area.
When she was trying to come up with names for me an Elvis programme was on TV .. somehow it got into her head that Memphis would be a great name for me, and so it stuck!

Instead of the house of Blues I live in the house of M's (There's me [Memphis], my big sister Molly and my BIG brother Mig)

Its your Aunty Gwen here and I know what a tough start you have had and that it was not an easy road for you or your brothers but things are going to be different from now on ok?

You have the bestest meowmy in the world and she is soooo gonna spoil you (as she does your big sister and scary big brother). I am sure you will get along with big bro just fine,just give it time.

So have meowmy been giving you lots to eat and lots of fusses? Or has she been sidelined by other members of the house whos after your affections?

You are a truly beautiful cat and don't you forget that. Your brothers might look exotic but your meowmy wanted YOU because your such a special puddy cat and I can see why she wanted you because your beautiful

Be sure to post on the cat mouths section won't you if you ever need a winge or just get stuff off your chest like we all do from time to time,us hoomans do the stoopidest things sometimes as Ging and Grwndi will tell you anyday.

Sorry to hear you had such a hard start in life but I guess that will make you all the more special and determined to get the slaves running around after you.

I think the stork must have been having a special recipe when he delivered you as you are very beautiful and scrummy I think you look handsome.

There are lots of other nice new babies like yourself and some doggies, rabbits and lots of other animals here as well so you sould settle in in no time.

Hello everyone. My name is Memphis, I'm 7-8 weeks young.

I came to my new home on Friday. Before that I was living with my 5 brothers in an animal shelter. 7 of us were found under a tree when we were 2 weeks old .. 2 died

My new mummy helped look after us, we were hand fed which wasn't very tasty. My mummy fell in love with me and had waited a long time to bring me home, she nearly couldn't because another person was going to have me. This made my mummy get really upset and she ended up having to be comforted by Aunty Gweny (Hellooooooooooooooooooooooo). A nice lady at the shelter did some magic, which meant my mummy could keep me.

No one quite knows what I am. My brothers are all varying shades of brown tabby and I'm the odd one out. They keep saying the stork must have been having a bad day when I was born because I'm different to my brothers. They say my brothers look very oriental/exotic.

I have a big sister dog, she's very wary of me. I like to bully her. I also have a big brother rabbit .. he's really scary looking and huge, I'm not going to mess with him.

I'm off to go kill a mouse now.
PS - If my mummy says I was a fool and fell into Molly's water bowl, dont believe her. The real story is I was wrestling with a killer mouse. I had to drown him.
