Another microchip success story...

Had a phonecall at work today, we wouldn't normally take reports of lost or found cats as it's not in our remit but if someone has gone to the effort of ringing us then we'd record it in the miscellaneous register.  Yesterday a lady had reported a cat that she had found which she believed to be a stray, today she rang us back with an update.  She managed to catch the cat and had taken it to the vets to be scanned.  Iit was registered to an owner in a different town almost 25 miles away, the owners were contacted and have now been reunited with their cat, he/she had been missing for 3 weeks.  If the cat wasn't microchipped then this little one would almost certainly NEVER have been reunited.

There was also an article in our local newspaper today about a cat that had been missing for 2 years and was picked up by the RSPCA as a stray who scanned it and contacted the long lost owner who was pictured being reunited :)

If you haven't got your cats microchipped already then please get it done now!
