I said yes, and all pets, thats if you wanted to do all pets that is  ;)

I think people always love something that reminds them of their pet, and you cant get more personal or unique than a portrait of your own pet. I would love some of mine.

I think that pic is really good Bryony  :) And I love the "box" picture style.

Actually it looks like my Lyla, how much would that be?  :evillaugh:

I painted the one shown at the bottom. I do acrylic painted, photographic and stencilled canvases. But I certainly see what you mean about people scrutinising even more if it their beloved pet. I am quite a perfectionist though so hopefully should be ok!

I agree - only yesterday we went into a local art shop to enquire about getting some canvas or MDF pics of the cats - I think we are going to go for hi-res black & white, about 1 x 1m for each of them.

I believe I am not interested to know whether Vivisection produces results that are profitable to the human race or doesn't. To know that the results are profitable to the race would not remove my hostility to it.  Mark Twain

I said yes, but all pets - but you would have to ensure that they were competent artists doing them (whether photographic or painted/drawn). There is nothing people are going to be fussier about (with the possible exception of baby pix) than pet portraits and a poor representation could kill your whole business...

I am just finishing off my business website having left work at the end of last week!

I have added various products to the site and I am considering offering bespoke pet portraits. Is this the sort of thing you think people would be interested in? Would you be interested if they were added to my product line?

I've turned this into a poll to see what everyone thinks.

Heres an example of one I did of my friends cat Socrates when he was a kitten.
