I love hedgehogs, I used to feed one and I named him/her Spike it very small and I left strict instructions when I went away on holiday to feed it. One day after about years as we pulled onto the car park that serves our houses I noticed a flattened hedgehog, It must have been my Spike because I never did see it again.

I used to feed two hedgehogs Hedgie and hedgina but they stopped coming :( I loved to watch them and go so used to their snuffle noises at night.

Thats great, good to know that there is so many of us that help strays. what did you mean when you said only 1 has stayed? Has the mother and other kitten gone somewhere else? Maybe if the kitten is used to you, you could try to encourage it into your house, thats if you wanted to. Im sure you got feelings for the little mite now , Best of luck whatever you decide to do x :)

awwww that's lovely.
Where my mum lives there were loads of ferel cats so she went on a mission, caught all of them including mum and dad and had them all neutered/spayed, all their jabs and off they went to new homes. One has stayed to be the pub cat and just loves going for walks with them over the moors!
The vets up there did it all for a small donation ;D

Nono, sorry CC, it's not me - I just saw the story and thought it was nice. Believe me, if it was around our house, it would be in watching DVDs with Bilbo and Baggins by now :)
