They haven't got a clue.........he was fine and then just started wailing  :'(  They will be taking him off the oxygen shortly to try him breathing on his own........god love him, he will be so scared.  He's a big lump but petrified of vets, they said he's stopped crying now though but obviously a bit nervy.  I've got to go to work........I am really late and now I've heard the price of the oxygen treatment, I can't afford to get the sack  :scared:

I've just had an update, Alfie is still in the Oxygen tent but he's improved, his colour is better, he seems to be breathing a lot easier and his temp is back to normal.  Trevor's been scouring the internet for possible causes and he's totally puzzled.  His bloods have come back normal as well.  He's going to keep him in over the weekend to monitor him but he thinks he should be okay.......thank god for that.  Thanks all for your good messages  I will be getting an update later.

I've just got back in from the vets as Alfie isn't well  :'(  :'(  At around 3 o'clock, he started making the most awful noise.....really horrible  :'(  I phoned the emergency vets up and he said it sounded like he could possibly have colic or something and to give him some Metacam and a couple of Nisomax, and if no improvement take him in in the morning.  I went to give him the tablets and his gums were virtually grey  :'(  Phoned the vets back and I've had to take him in.  He hasn't got a clue what's wrong with him, his temp is 98 and his oxygen levels weren't even showing on the machine.  Basically his metabolism was slowing right down but they don't know why.  His gum colouring could indicate shock, and he isn't showing any unique signs that would point to a poison.  He's been placed in an Oxygen Tank and he did seem to perk up a little after a few minutes, he will remain in this overnight.  The crying Trevor put down to delirium rather than pain.  The noise was awful, he cried all the way to the vets which set me off crying, and he cried quite a lot in the vets  :'(  :'(  I've got to phone up in the morning before work and they will be doing blood tests etc on him to try and determine a cause.  Please pray for my gorgeous boy.......I couldn't bear it if anything happened to him  :'(  :'(
