Title: Two stunning Bengal girls - Bicester
Post by: JackSpratt on April 15, 2009, 20:42:27 PM
Am posting this on behalf of a family members work colleague:

"Floozy and Minx are loving and affectionate cats, but unfortunately since the arrival of a baby boy into the house at christmas time, we are just unable to give them the time, love and and attention that they deserve, as a result they have been 'acting up a bit' as Bengals can do, so we feel it's fairer on everyone if we can find them a new home where they will get what they need.

Minx is a brown female, born April 2003.  She is pedigree and we have the certification for her, she has been microchipped and neutered.  In Spring 2005, she was diagnosed with a lactating patella on her right rear knee for which she had corrective surgery.  Everything has been fine with that knee ever since.  She is a house cat (although she would dearly love to escape to the outside world) and is up to date with her innoculations (not FIV as she is a house cat, also no worming or flea treatment for the same reason).  She is an incredibly affectionate, playful and caring cat who will eat or drink anything she can get her paws on!  She's great with people and doesn't appear to mind children too much (she has never seemed too bothered by our 4 year old niece), she's not afraid of anything, loves being picked up and played with.

Floozy is a silver female born in December 2003.  She is not pedigree, but has also been chipped and neutered, her innoculations are due at the moment (maybe a couple of weeks ago).  She is a very different cat to Minx, very nervous and skittish.  However she is very vocal and incredibly affectionate in her own way.  She is very much a lap cat and will resist any attempts to be held, but she loves nothing better than curling up on her mum's lap while she is watching tv.  It is Floozy that seems to have had the biggest problems since the arrival of the baby and has taken to weeing outside of the litter tray to get attention (I'm aware that this a behavioural problem caused by stress or upset) - Floozy has never shown any interest in becoming an outdoor cat (we did try recently to encourage her outside as we thought it may improve things, but she wouldn't budge).

Together both the cats playfight a lot, they always have and always will I guess, they spend a great amount of time together either curled up in one of their beds or in the radiator bed in one of the rooms upstairs, they eat both wet and dry food and have never seemed particularly fussy about the brand.  They both love Tuna and Floozy goes crazy at the smell of Chicken and Cheese (she was fed Chicken as a kitten, but we've never been sure about the Cheese!).

It is with a really heavy heart that we've decided to rehome them, they are two wonderful cats who will make someone extremely happy.  We have just realised that we cannot give them what they need or deserve at the moment, and it's only fair to them that they go somewhere that they get the love they deserve in the quantities that they need!"

I notice they had space for them really quickly....I was only asked for help finding somewhere on the 14th. Funny, if it's a non-ped they seem to be booked up for ages.

Exactly, they can place them easily, sad tho how quickly peds get accepted in or find a home, shows people look at whats on the outside rather then the inside  :(

My thoughts entirely. Oh well, can't win 'em all.

If anyone is still interested I know which rescue these two are at, but it's now under RSPCA rehoming rules.
