In June this year, Little Miss Asteroid had been with us a year. She was being given away on the free ads and I took one look at the photo and knew people would take her to potentially "make money from her."
We hadn't long since lost Tobes, so I intended to foster her and find her a home through a safer route than the free ads. I thought she'd help distract me a little from the immense grief I was feeling.
Sam brought her to us, and the little madam set about making herself at home immediately. She was a tiny whirlwind of a kitten, and you never knew quite what she'd be up to.
I knew she was creeping through the chinks in the armour when I discussed getting her a permanent home, and my partner looked sad. If I'm honest, I felt that way too but felt a little disloyal to Tobes. But then I thought about it another way; what if I was meant to see her and she was meant to be a part of our family?
I can't guarantee it, but I like to think Toby saw how heartbroken we were and wanted to help, so he swayed circumstances. And Sam helped.....when she turned up with this tiny kitten, I didn't know how much of an impact it would have on us all.
So thank you, Sam. (And thank you, Toby. ;) :Luv:)

Asteroid is beautiful and I am sure this had Tobys paws in it ;D

She is beautiful, and I'm absolutely certain that Toby had a huge paw in you finding each other, same as Max leading me to Poot.
They are very clever, and know just what we need, sometimes better than we do
Well done Sam for sorting too, without you this would never have happened :Luv:

Ahhh shucks guys you are making me blush.
JS ... I didn't really do much apart from deposit an incredibly cute bundle of tortieness on you :Nooooo:.
I'm so pleased Astryd (aka Asteroid) settled in so well with the rest of the family ... TBH I didn't think she would have too much trouble convincing you and OH that she should stay .... she wasn't exactly backward and coming forward even as a tiny little kitten.
Thanks Yvonne - again I didn't do much
