Ears are a very good temperature indicator and if the ears are hot , you are almost certain to have a cat with a temperature. Both Misa and Ducha were at the vets for this reason and both had high temperatures and needed antibiotics.

Misa s ears are now much cooler tonight which is what I have been waiting for, so reckon he is on the way to recovery now  ;D

Hope he's ok.  My vet said not to take too much notice of the ears as it's the way they conserve heat.

His ears were still very hot last night which is worrying but today I have seen him practicing his 100ft sprint in the garden and and he is avoiding me!

I tried to feel his ears and he said nooooooooooo way, stay away from my ears, pervert

So I guess he is feeling better, and I hope his ears are when I catch him  ;D

Shortly after I got kylie, she was bitten at the weekend. I was really ignorant then and thought I would take her to the vet. She was behaving just like Misa and was hot etc. Hiding under the bed and had enlarged pupils. She was aggressive when I got close to her. I booked an appointment for the vet after work. By the time I took her, the vet said her temperature was down an no point giving her anything. Over the next couple of days she was back to her normal self. I guess he was checking for bites. Hopefully he will be fine in no time.

Gill, you should call the surgery tomorrow and ask them , i always do this when i get home i remember something and i call them.

I think also to check for injuries or to see if Misa had feeling in his legs and paws.

Wonder if the vet was looking for any injuries that might cause an infection :-:

Well he is prowling around like he owns the joint again  ;D

One strange thing though that maybe someone might know answer.

At the end of the examination the vets said , Oh let me just examine his legs, and lifted Misa up and felt down each leg and paw.

Does anyone know why, I didnt think of asking at the time and I know he would have told me!

well that's a huge relief Gill (and for Misa, lol). Bob used to do that to me - have a blocked bladder and let loose in the car en route to the emergency vet at 3 am.  8)

Got back from vets about an hour ago and he has a big temperature and also wet the bedding in the carrier, whi the vet thought was really good! Also he said catys do temperatures well which is very helpful !

So he was not blocked and didnt need to stay in but has been given antibiotic injection and he should be back on  a level playing field again in 2-3 days.

he was given a very good examination and Richard got a bit from sticking his fingers in Misa s mouth...............more fool him

So hope my Misaman will be better again by end of week  ;D

Thank you for your kind thoughts
