Have just added a new link into the links for CC.................their Christmas raffle with 57 wonderful prizes :cold: :xmas 6: :xmas 5:
-
I have 10 tickets and i'm keeping my fingers crossed (Cheese and Gerti have paws crossed!)
-
I have 10 tickets. We want to win a prize!!!
-
If I was to win anything I just know it would be a cat collar, and as I don't approve of them that would be a waste, still the ticket money is for a good cause.
-
Sad our auction finishes before the draw cos you could put em in our auction
-
I couldn't do that as I always throw away collars as I would be gutted if anything happened to the cat because of me however, I would have donated the top amount a collar made, but of course all this is hypothetical as I never win anything. But if by any chance I did win one I will still donate that amount anyway
-
I have 50 tickets i had better win something :)
-
I got 5.............
-
I have 25 and want some more but can't seem to pay by pay pal.
-
Email and tell em ;D
-
I got 5 too!
-
Hello!
A Message for Gail...
Although we don't have it set up to buy raffle tickets by Paypal, if you want you could email me (gemini@catchat.org) to say how many tickets you want and then go in and make the payment as a donation by Paypal using the ID: cats@catchat.org
We rarely get many payments that way so we'll easily tie your payment up as being for raffle tickets if you email first. ;D
Hope that helps!
Love & Purrs from Gemini xx
p.s. Gill - thanks for the link, what a star you are!
-
Ela,
I am stunned that you think it's OK to make such hurtful comments about our donation.

I would like to add that my husband and I sell breakaway cat collars because we both love cats, our collars are safe, and for the people who want to put a collar on their cat for identification, they provide a safe alternative to the many dangerous cat collars on the market. We are not in this business for the money, or we wouldn't be in it at all.
I'm really tired of your horrid comments Ela and really wonder why you make the comments you do.
Marla
Kitty Collars

Hi Marla,
I can quite understand how hurt you feel, especially since you are always so generous, but I'm sure Ela didn't mean her statement to read as cavalier as it must do to you. I bet she doesn't even realise that it is you who has donated the collars...and how smashing and safe they are...or that you spend money sponsoring Cat Chat so that they can continue with their good work.
As you know my cats don't go out of the garden, so they don't wear collars either, but sometimes I'd love an excuse to put one of those lovely sparkly little numbers on them.
I reckon if Ela reads your post, she will be so upset that she has unwittingly hurt you.
You know we all love ya, Marla. :Luv:
Lots of love
Roz 8)

Hi Roz,
Unfortunately, this was a long running theme of Ela's on Cat Chat. She is fully aware who donated the collars to the Cat Chat raffle. She admitted on Cat Chat that she has never seen or tested our collars, but never misses an opportunity to imply that they are unsafe.

Hi Marla
I am sorry that you gave been so upset but I am putting the link to your collars in our links section because we know that your collars are safe............................and lovely to look at.
The ones you kindly donated to the auction are fabulous.

Thanks Gill.

Sorry I have just seen the above comment, I absolutly did not know who had donated them, why would I? I just noticed collars or perhaps collar.
-
Thank you ladies, please leave this thread for the raffle cos I would like CC to sell as many tickets as possible.......as long as one of mine wins
-
My cats said if i dont win them that big scratchy post im not gettin my bed back or the sofa, come on guys an gals i need somewhere to sleep. :scared:
-
Hi Gill, re. "Have just added a new link into the links for CC................." I can't find the link! Still not quite able to find my way round the new site  How do I buy tickets?
-
Our kids are already stalking the postman and don't understand why Mummy is going to need her tax rebate this month!!!
Oh well the more funds for Ron and less turkey for them!!!! :wow:
-
Rhona go to LINKS at top where all buttons are. click and the then go into The Fantastic CAt Chat Site........its the first one on list, and the link is the second one in there ;D
-
Marla,
I am very much against non safety Cat Collars. My two cats Ollie and Tyler both have Kitty Collars with there names on them and in my opinion they are the best collars they have ever had and beleive me they have had a few. I only found out about Kitty Collars about a year ago when i came accross Cat Chat. So glad i came accross them as they are fantastic (not to mention Tyler looks like a little Princess with her we pink Collar)
I certainly recomend Kitty Collars to anyone I know who is looking for a collar. They are such good quality. Ollie and Tyler have had theirs nearly a year now and still are like brand new

:thanks:
-
Marla - the bengal boys love kittycollars. Just ordered the christmas ones and they all look very handsome with them on. Linda x
(sorry Gill - won't post no more but I wanted to let Marla know we do support her)
-
No problem ;D
CC Christmas Raffle tickets still on sale, wonderful prizes.
-
I bought my tickets earlier this afternoon but have not received another email, to those that have bought tickets, when did you get emailed your ticket numbers?
-
Thanks Gill. Found my way there & have now purchased my tickets ;D
-
Hi Helen, i think i got my ticket numbers the next day.
-
Thanks CCmacey, I didn't know if it was an automated thing and maybe something had not worked. I'm just too impatient, I want my winning ticket numbers!
-
Your winning numbers
Mine will be the winning numbers when I get my tickets but I am :sneaky: and waiting till last minute ;D ;D
-
MINE will be the winning numbers, I bought another 15 last night. I hope I don't win the collar as mine don't wear them.
Will check my bank bal and see if I can get a few more before the draw day.
Hope I am still winning my something in the auction too. Tan will need you to send me your pay pal link.
-
once the draw has taken place how do we know what the wining numbers are?? Im a little dim I am!!
-
Gee, thanks Gail.
-
I dont know Tammy , I guess they tell you if you have won..........email them and ask then you can tell all of us
-
Will check my bank bal and see if I can get a few more before the draw day
I am sure the bank won't mind you going into the red for the cats.
-
I have 40 tickets, I am sure I can squeeze another 10 or 15. That will be my Christmas prezzie to myself.
I don't mind what I win, will be disappointed if I don't win anything like any one in any raffle, but the money goes to the best creatures in the world. CATS.
Must say this, My zubin slept by me last night and Zebedee slept in between me & Hubbs for extra warmth. Thai was downstairs on her own :( :( I did feel guilty, but she will be up tonight. :Luv:
-
Sadly I can only afford the 10 tickets as I am dangerously in the red already cause of Christmas presents/food shop!!!
I still live in hope though, every ticket has a chance after all! ;D I wonder if any of you with tons of tickets will win more than one prize!
Cheese and Gerti say they would love the cat tree or Cat Gallery vouchers and Gerti says she would like mum to win the tortie cat plush toy as its beautiful just like her! :Luv:
-
Hellooooo!!!
We're all getting excited now at CC Towers, only 8 days to go til the raffle gets drawn! :wow: :wow: :wow:
To answer a couple of queries then.... we try our best send the numbers and PDF ticket copy out the same day they are purchased, but sometimes it's just too busy and they go the next day. We are right up to date at the moment though, and have sent out the numbers and tickets to all purchasers (unless you've bought some in the last hour 7pm - 8pm on 7th Dec !!) so if you have purchased some and not got your numbers yet - please email me: gemini@catchat.org and I'll send them to you again.
The raffle will get drawn on the evening of Friday 15th Dec. and winning ticket numbers will be posted on Cat Chat - we'll link it from the front page and put them on the actual raffle prizes page too... and yes, we'll post them here on this forum as well. There will no doubt be a measure of frivolity after the preceedings (just a guess!), so I'd expect the numbers will be announced on site on Saturday 16th.
If you want the winning ticket numbers to be emailed to you, please email me for them after the draw date - thanks!!
Thank you to all who've bought tickets so far - good luck!!
What fun!!!

Marla, I just wanted to say I love your collars. (I wish I could afford them, but have too many cats.....they do all wear quick release collars, just not the lovely designer ones on your site! :() You should do an "impoverished student" range, I think it'd sell really well!
Hope the raffle has managed to raise squillions of pounds for the cats! :)
Can tickets still be bought? I forgot to buy some and I've probably left it too late now!
-
Yep ya can still buy tickets ;D ;D The draw is on the 15th. There is a link to the ticket purchses on in the links section at top of forum under Fantastic Cat chat link.
I snunk in another 20 and will try and sneak some more in soon :sneaky:, Hubby don't see bank account :evillaugh:
-
:thanks: Linda and JackSpratt for your nice comments.
-
I want the Cat Gallery Voucher!!!!
I was in the Cat Gallery shop in York at the weekend and I was in heaven!!! :Luv:
Crossed fingers and paws this end :shy:
-
Only two days left to buy tickets - wow - it's exciting :wow: I can't wait for the draw! :luck: everyone.
-
Whoop come on boys and yumi have all got their paws crossed something good comes there way for xmas :)
-
I'm getting exciiiiiiited!!! its tomorrow!!!! ;D
-
I'd quite like the tree.. OH won't let me get one but it'd just fit nicely in the corner where the scratch post is... wouldn't say no to the Bagpuss either... :D
-
Got my tickets so waiting for my pressies
Dont have any numbers though.
-
Phew, just remembered to order tickets. I know I will not win but at least its a bit more for Cat Chat. ;D
-
Everyones got a chance, Ela!
I am holding out hope for the Cat Gallery voucher!
:luck:
-
I know, but there is hope and no hope and I fall in the latter. However, I don't care cos the money will do good.
-
 I'm going to the draw tonight & I don't know what to wear  My first idea was a catsuit ;D but then again, perhaps a tad ott! :( I can't wait to find out what everbody has won. Good luck everybody! :yayyy:
-
Oh I didnt realise it was something you could actually attend? How fun! I wish I could be there, tickets in hand!
Will they announce the names of the winners from their ticket numbers? Or would that be too difficult?
-
When do I get my numbers for my tickets?
-
I was told today I will get an e-mail with my numbers on. Then again I don't care if I know or not. Knowing won't make any difference to the outcome, in my case anyway.
-
Who told you.......I ordered mine yesterday and paid for them.
-
e-mail from Gemini, Colonel Beau, Pickford & Human Staff
Cat Chat, the Cat Rescue Resource
-
hmmmmmmmmmmmmm :'(
-

-

I wanna sticky cat poop!!! ;D
-
I dont want a t shirt as they are only for thin people! (dont they only go up to 'M') if its a skinny fit, that wont fit (lardy! :scared:)
-
I can't even properly 'member what all the prizes were? Quite fancy the cat tree... but I don't mind not winning cos I think it was a fiver well spent - wish I could afford more... ;D
-
Me def no skinny! I strech t shirts to fit ha ha!!
-
I dont want a t shirt as they are only for thin people! (dont they only go up to 'M') if its a skinny fit, that wont fit (lardy! :scared:)
I'm what ya might call a fat cat :cat chat: i.e. I'm meaty, beaty, big and bouncy & they've got Catchat t-shirts and sweatshirts to fit me! Email Catchat & tell them what size ya want & I'm certain they will do their best to get it for ya! ;D
-
Hullo there chaps!
Well this is all bally exciting I must say, only 2 hours to go on the ticket sales front!! (6pm finish - my strict orders, in time for my teatime rations you see, most important)
:disco:
Then these bally human types are going to be drawing the jolly winners later this evening - and yes, if you are in the area of the Isle of Thanet you may attend and witness if you wish: The venue is the Sir Stanley Gray public house (yes, I know, I know, preposterous isn't it?), that is in Pegwell Road, Ramsgate (overlooking Pegwell Bay apparently, but it'll be dark so that'll hardly matter), troops are assembling from 8.30pm and numbers will be drawn starting around 9pm or so. An independent part will be present to ensure complete fairness - so any late bribes will be gladly accepted but won't make a blind bit of difference! :evillaugh:
I should expect the winning numbers and names to be on display on the Cat Chat site, and here, sometime during Saturday.
Oh yes, and below are the prizes being awarded this very evening.
May I take this opportunity to say WELL DONE and THANK YOU to all of you for your support with this raffle-jobbie, it's been a great success, and the money raised will be helping so very many homeless cats find themselves a new, loving home in 2007 - this, I believe is a very, very good thing - and all who have purchased tickets deserve a hearty round of applause for helping that to happen, BRAVO chaps!!

Hullo Cheesecat,
Just saw your query there - yes, we will know the winners names from the numbers. Each time tickets were purchased, the persons details were firmly stapled to the first copy of the ticket(s) this end. Then a second copy of each ticket is what goes into tonight's bucket - all quite ingenious I feel (planned by Yours Truly you see, right down to the finest detail!).
When the winning numbers are posted on CC and on here, I shall make sure we post numbers and names.
It's not terribly becoming of a Colonel to get overly excited, but you know, I am getting just a tad excited!

Excuse me Colonel Sir! You forgot to mention the other raffle... you know, the extra one!!
Colonel Beau's memory isn't what it was you see, and he forgot the extra raffle - after we draw the 57 winners - there's another draw...
The 57 winning tickets go into a bag - and 4 of them will be drawn, and win an autographed message from Oliver Postgate and Bagpuss! How ultra-cool is that!?!!?
(good job I've got my remembering head on)

-
OK - so who wants to know the winners then???? Of course you do!! Without further ado here they are... Well, no, hold on, not let me just say first we are all absolutely thrilled here with the total raised, which in the end was £1,480 - what a result!!
We worked it out recently that it costs CatChat on average £5.37 to find a home for each cat, so if you look at it like that, we raised enough to help 275 cats into new homes next year!!! WAY-HEY!!!
THANKS TO ALL OF YOU WHO SUPPORTED THIS RAFFLE - WE LOVE YOU!!!!

Wohoooooo!!!! What a great total raised. :yesss: :donate:  Well done all of you wonderful peeps over at CC and all ya helpers.  How did the draw go at the public house? ;D ;D
I so lucky i never won anyfing in me life before this year and i got loads of lovery Auction stuff and 3 wonderful prizes in the draw. :yesss:  :thanks: :thanks: :thanks:
-
Heheeeee
I won twice! I am so pleased :Luv: made my day actually! Thanks to Gemini and the gang for putting this together, it was great fun, i've been excited for weeks waiting for it!
;D congrats on the amount raised!!
-
I have been lucky too and won three prizes! Thanks to CC for organising the raffle and congratulations on the total raised :cheer:
-
Probably just as well I didn't win anything here as the Royal Mail can't cope with what I got in the Auction! Good to see a nice big total, so we all win really.
-
Congratulations to all the winners - and to the non-winners - please try again next time!
Tthanks to everyone for their fantastic support!
We have had an email commenting on how odd it was that the same names were drawn more than once. So I would like to state for the record that the draw was made totally at random, overseen by an independent person, (as required by our license, and the lottery laws), and there was no favouritism or even the possiblity of it. There were 8 people present, (plus the pub landlady) and all will verify completely that it was absolutely random, that was simply the way the tickets came out! Any favouritism or 'choosing'of tickets would have been totally against the rules of the lotteries act, and we simply would not do that. Every single ticket was scrunched up tight and the whole lot went into a big cardboard box (crisp dispenser box - thanks to the pub for that), and drawn in the good old fashioned way!
So Well Done to the lucky winners!!

Never would of thought any otherwise ;D
Sounded like a great night out and i am sure the pub's fruit cordial helped flex those paws for the ticket picking ;D ;D
-
It was indeed a great night out & a good time was had by all. :yayyy: :drink2: I had one or two glasses of refreshment...hic!..& got so carried away with the excitement that I clean forgot to order a cab home :censored: Never mind, the walk did me good. Now I'm looking forward to next year's draw. Hope you lucky winners enjoy your prizes. :wow:
-
:yayyy: I win I win....Never had done before!! :yayyy:
-
Brilliant total raised and thrilled to win a prize. Congratulations Catchat I too will look forward to the next one.

-
I'm Chuffed to bits. I did exceptionally well. I never win anything.
Money well spent and most of all we helped all those fantastic furbabes. Need some more kitty meat their cupboard is nearly empty.
-
I was lucky enough to be there last night. Had a fabulous time and it was amazing to see how many people had bought tickets!! A great time was had by all and for such a good cause!!
Im looking forward to next years!
xx
-
Well done to all who won and the CC bods for organising it, I didn't win but I will try again next year ;D just think with the auction and the CC raffle over £3,000 has been raised to help lots of cats who need it so I think that's fab and well done everyone who has taken part in either or both of these events :Luv:
-
I didn't win anything :'(, will have to buy loads more tickets next year! Was pleased to see so many familiar names from CC and Purrs were lucky winners though. Also it's nice to think how many cats will be helped from the proceeds of the raffle and also the Purrs auction. ;D
-
The Clan cats won a roly poly mouse under my full Sunday name - Elizabeth Wilson at our old address fortunately we have the mail forward on so hopefully something else for them to play with
can't wait for next years raffle and auction - must save more so we can spend more!!!! :wow:
-
It's great isn't it. I am soooooo happy that we all raised that much on the Auction and sooo fantasic CC raised all that on their raffle too.
We also have a total sales so far from the Purrs calendars and that is £1243.08.

Now I'm the proud owner of something money can't buy - the only non-cat-related item in the Cat Chat raffle - a signed photo of Alan Davies
