I would have thought active ingredients were what mattered Mark

Generally but excipients can still have different levels of safety, its a new product that seems to have had minimal safety checks eg they wont say if its ok for queens whereas FL do state its ok to use. For peace of mind id stick with what i know, but i am boring  :evillaugh:

Me too but I'm also concerned about these added hydrocarbons - I will check to see if they are the same ones as in Frontline
DO NOT BREED OR BUY WHILE SHELTER ANIMALS DIE

I believe I am not interested to know whether Vivisection produces results that are profitable to the human race or doesn't. To know that the results are profitable to the race would not remove my hostility to it.  Mark Twain

After MMs post in general cat (I double posted this thread) I'm not so sure. Frontline is recommended for CRF cats but this, although the adtive ingredient is the same as Frontline, has different carriers so may be a bit risky.

Not bad for us though, Mark. Don't see many ticks where I live. ;) Am stocked up on frontline at the moment, but will definitely remember this bargain. :)

Very interesting, but it only gives 2 weeks protection for ticks. Not much good for those who live in rural areas I am afraid. Will you be our trialler then Mark and let us know how you get on! Will be interested to hear if it is just as effective.

Effipro (Virbac) contains Fipronil, the same active ingredient as Frontline

£10.40 for 4 pipettes from www.petdrugsonline.co.uk (about the same price as 3 frontline from other online places)

A good deal when you have a few cats to treat.
