Poppy is a lovely, affectionate three year old torti who is unfortunately getting seriously harassed by the toddler in the household. I'm told her current owners have tried to deter the situation but unfortunately Poppy doesn't seem to understand steering clear and as a consequence is lashing out when she's grabbed. She lives happily with another cat and is spayed and up to date with her innoculations I'm told. Charlie is four in July; I'm informed he's a complete love and is very bonded to Poppy.
Chelsea is a six month old (as yet) unspayed female. She is also very affectionate, but unfortunately the family dog has decided she's a toy and her current owner is worried she'll get seriously hurt. She is on a dry food diet and seems content with that, she also seems fine with children. Chelsea knows and responds to her name. - Has apparently found a new home.
Please PM me for contact information.

:Luv: :Luv: both gorgorgeous and hope they find a new forever home soon
-
what lovely girls :Luv:
-
Stunners aren't they? Seems to be an alarming rise of the "torti persuasion" on freeads at the moment.
-
my oh would have them all unfortunately our Amber wouldn't be so keen!
-
Positive rehoming vibes being sent for these two gorgeous girlies! :Luv2: :Luv2:
-
Thanks. No luck so far....
-
Bumping up Charlie and Poppy.
-
Cant understand why these two have not been snapped up? :Dont know:
-
Me neither. Someone was interested in Poppy until their current owner decided she wanted to rehome them together (partly because they're bonded, partly because Charlie is now also getting in on the swiping) and decided they didn't want two. How can they not want them? They're stunners. :)
-
nor me :(
-
poor babes - how could they not want the two ? :'( -but good on the current owner for NOT separating them.
They are a stunning pain of fur kids.
-
She was going to but then Charlie started copying Poppys behaviour towards the toddler....to be honest I've seen a few pictures and they look bonded so I'm glad they're looking together. Hopefully somewhere will turn up soon.
-
Bumping these two up- they're still looking.
-
I can't believe these two haven't had any interest!
-
 I'm utterly amazed these 2 cuties haven't been snapped up. They are adorable. I think I need to move up north. ;)
-
Or - we need to organise a transport run. ;) Room for two little 'uns with you? :evillaugh:
-
Does Charlie come with his handbag? hehehe :evillaugh:
I don't really have the money to keep 3 kitties at the moment. Also I worry a little that a bonded pair coming into Widgets house might end up ganging up on him.
I will seriously think about it though and tell everyone I know about them if you think transporting them down to South Wales isn't to far a trip for them.
-
To be honest, as long as a cat's healthy and not a nervous traveller I don't see why they shouldn't. Obviously, a vet reference or a home check is required so that the current owner knows where Charlie and Poppy are off to.
I can understand that concern. I worry about our lot whenever a new one joins the group. ;)
-
Still looking.
-
How can these two still be looking! So frustrating that I can't help, as you know I am hopelessly in love with Poppy :Luv2:
Has there been no improvement with the toddler?
-
Not as far as I know. :tired:
-
They look lovely kitties, can't the owners train the toddler not to touch the kitties? my 3yrd daughter knows not to pick up our youngest furbaby as she'll get scratched she's learnt the hard way but i couldn't rehome my cats because they scratch people :(
-
Apparently not. She says that Poppy actively approaches the little one, who grabs and Poppy retaliates.Charlie has started to do the same.
-
Is Charlie Neutered?
-
As far as I know, yes. Do you want me to double check?
-
No it's ok. I was just wondering as it didn't say. I'm still asking around to see if anyone wants them. If someone shows a real interest then I'll get back to you. I'm still umming and ahhing about me having them, but vet bills for 3 kitties right now is a bit too much of a worry.
-
Poppy is just like my tortie Tia, who I found on Freeadds!!!
Hope they find a forever home soon!!!

Understand that one entirely - but I don't have as much common sense as you. ;)
Thanks Angel. :)
-
These two are still looking.
-
Oh this just breaks my heart, you know what a soft spot I ahve for Poppy :( I so wish I had the space and money but one would be pushing it let alone two!
I really hope they find somewhere soon.
-
At least the lady hasn't just palmed them off on someone - view that as a positive. It means that despite things being a bit disrupted she won't just give Charlie and Poppy to anyone. ;)
-
Oh definitely, part of me hopes the time it's taking to find a new home gives the little one time to learn how to deal witht he cats :shy:
-
Ditto. I said something similar to a friend this morning....the longer it takes to find a home the more the cats and kids are likely to learnt co-exist I'd think. ;)
-
Bumping these two up.
-
Potential home found. A girl I know has a friend who's cat went walkabouts a while ago and never came home. Her little boy (not a toddler, so old enough to know how to treat a cat) is really upset and misses his cat immensely. I've forwarded the contact email address and will know if she'd be happy to take on this bonded pair in the next couple of days.
I also asked if I'd be allowed to pop round to see how Charlie and Poppy settled in if she took them on.
-
Fingers crossed
-
:crossed:
-
No update from the possible home, so these guys are still looking.
-
Arrrggghhhhh! Right, I'm on my way now to get Poppy, not sure I can smuggle Charlie too though :shify:
I can't believe it's taking so long for them to find a home.
-
Just had an email from Charlie and Poppys owner. They had an email enquiry but nothing came of it.
-
Still looking.
-
Still looking....
-
:( still
-
Yup. I'm kind of thinking maybe the lady will realise it's getting easier once her toddler gets out of the grabbing stage - you can hope, can't you?
