Hello and :welcome: to Purrs. I'm sorry that you have found us due to such a worrying time. Jasper looks a real sweetheart, I hope he comes home soon
-
Thank you for your kind words, yes I've tried everything: posters/vets/rescue centres/local council/door to door/Petlog/as many lost and found Internet pages for dogs and cats that I can find etc. its so unlike him to disappear, he is definitely a creature of habit and he would never be too far from his big brother's side. His poor big brother, Dylan

Have you been out calling for him at night when its quieter? Is it worth borrowing a trap from CP and bait with nfood to see if he comes back hungry.
Do you have a cat flap so he can get in when he returns?
Could he have hitched a lift on any big vehicles deliverying on that day?
A local scholl. postman are also good targets

Keep looking, especially on the internet websites. People who find cats may only look on the day they find them then not bother again so it's vital to recheck and repost his details.
Please don't give up hope, it's only a week, there's a good chance he's shut in a shed or house where the owners have gone away for a few days. If you post flyers at the school gates, the local pub, railway station, job centre... saturate the area.
Try Gumtree. I dislike that site immensely but folk do post lost and found animals on there not knowing where else to go.
You say you've tried the local council, make sure they have a picture of him, if the warden knows he's missing they will be alert.
Keep us posted on here, repost to this page daily, and you could consider changing the title of this post to include your area so if anyone googles the term "ginger white cat lost found Oldham, Manchester " yours will be the first hit they get.
I'm very sorry your precious boy is missing. I hope he's safe and well wherever he is.

Yes the council have his picture, as do the local businesses.
I think that he's probably just been too nosey for his good and landed himself in trouble somewhere. It would be nice to think that he's somewhere warm and dry, but I hope that he's somewhere where he can access food and water.
Good idea about changing the name of the thread!

I am pleased to announce that after 9 long days of being missing, Jasper returned home last night. He is safe and well (although a little thinner and very hungry). We will be eternally grateful for all the help and kind words received from everybody, thank you from the bottom of my heart! Xx :thanks:
