I wasn't thinking of entering any of my puds in the Cat Show as I think all of our cats are equally beautiful and special and so, as such, I don't think there should be a winner, that's not to take anything away from folks who enter I'm just saying that it's not my cup of tea, never been into competitions :)
[/quote]

Glad its not just me then  ;D

I will do something privately too.

Its a shame that having the competition limits photo posting for a couple of months though .

I'm near enough to commission you to take a pic of Blip one of these days Leigh - she sure won't pose for us! - and there might even be a glass of wine in it for you  :evillaugh: :evillaugh:

Hi Chris, it would be my pleasure, of course I have an advantage with my own puds as they all know me and you can read Suzie's mind when I'm taking photos of her "don't you  point that thing at me mate" :) Frankie on the other hand couldn't care less his motto is "What's the point of that if it can't be eaten" :)  and Alfie wants to stick his face right in the camera and start licking it, "just cleaning the lens mate" :).

All ht ebest

A misunderstanding here, methinks, as Leigh (like me) won't be entering the comp but wants to support Minimopsical on the side of it  :Luv:

Hi Gill,

No I never intended to enter the Cat Show, I don't like wsuch competitions, it's a principal of mine, as Groucho Marx said "If you don't like my principles, I have others" :) but I am happy to make a donation as soon as funds permit

Thats fine Leigh donations will be gratefully received from 1 May ;D ;D  and all will go to Minimopsical to help with her upkeep.

If you definately not entering the show then there are no restrictions but we have 87 classes so there are gonna be loads of pictures for peeps to see and vote for from 1 June. There is also now a Special none voting category for cats who are on the Bridge..........A celebration of their lives in text to go with their picture and the same entry fee will apply.

I wasn't aware that you were limiting pics on the forum, folks are always posting pics of their cats.

I am not entering the cat show, not my cup of tea, I'd rather make a donation or something.

I won't post anymore pics.

Best regards

What's with tbe yelliow cards Gill, ?,you got a three-for-one offer on yellow cards ? :) :) :)

What'd I do wrong then ?, if it's got to do with the Cat Show I'm not entering my puds, if it isn't to do with the show then I'm puzzled.

Cheers

Leigh, I think the cat show is for Minimopsical.  I'm going to do a little sponsorship for her 'at the side' of the cat show, as that isn't my bag either but I'd like to help Minimopsical especially.

I haven't decided exactly what I'll do yet and it may end up just being a pledge and a donation.  :Luv:

Hi Sam,

Thanks for the info, good point, I didn't know that, I might enter although, frankly, I'd rather just donate a few quid and do it that way.

Cheers

I agree with you Leigh about all our cats are beautiful and as such they are all winners but the real aim of the cat show is to help raise funds (it's a £1 a pic to enter) for the poor and needy kitties who don't have someone to tell them they are beautiful  :'(

Hi folks,

Thanks, I'm glad that you liked the pics, I 've always loved photography and cats so I really enjoy photographing cats :), they make it easy for me as I'm never far from a cat picture in the making. I was trying out a new lens that I bought this morning for my didgital SLR camera, I usually use my small Ixus but thought I'd use the SLR for a change, At 16 going on 17 years old Suzie has very long whiskas, I'm pleased with the picture of Frankie as he's not that easy to photograph as usually all you see are his eyes :) and Alfie was lying in my laundry basket again half asleep :), he generously woke up long enough for me to get a picture.

I wasn't thinking of entering any of my puds in the Cat Show as I think all of our cats are equally beautiful and special and so, as such, I don't think there should be a winner, that's not to take anything away from folks who enter I'm just saying that it's not my cup of tea, never been into competitions :)

Cheers

Great pics Leigh - you should do cat portraiture!  ;D

I can't get anything decent with my Ixus - and it cost a fortune 3 years ago - I supose I bought it for compactness so suffers on quality.
