Max loves his Whiskas milk as well, but only has it as an occasional treat now as he's been on a diet lol!

Mine love the Whiskas cat milk but they only get one bottle between the two of them once a week as a treat. As others have said it is a food rather than a drink so you shouldn't give them too much of it.

She always does have water, although she doesn't like it from her bowl, prefers to steal from a glass.

I've been giving her the kitten replacement milk for a few days and she really likes it  ;D

As the others have said, in normal cats, cat milk is a food and not a drink, so they still need water, and might also need their food intake reducing to compensate. I use it a lot when I get thin fosters in, to help build them up, and lactating queens can benefit a lot from KMR, or cat milk (KMR is probably the better option, but I Find cat milk easier to use, cos it is ready mixed). You can't give the adult cat milk to kittens under the age of 6 weeks though, so watch them for investigating it when they start showing an interest in food - you can get kitten milk from Asda though.

karen as ela said this is formulated so its better on their tummys than cows milk but its not necessary, however for jasmine you can give her some of the kittens formula and infact during time of lactation it will actually be quite good for her  ;D

While she's mothering, try to get as much nutrition into her as poss. Cat milk was developed for cats with lactose intolerance (they're usually sick after drinking cow's milk), but if Jasmine likes it, let her drink it, especially as she'll need the calcium etc. Make sure she has water available, and as much food as she'll eat.
Cats were once gods; they have never forgotten this, nor have the people they own.

The milk specially for cats is OK but not necessary. Milk is a food not a drink (although she will need lots of food just now). However, having said that with what Jasmine has gone through perhaps it is nice to indulge her occasionally.

Our's love it...! it started being an occasional treat, as they don't like usual kitty treats, only really a little bit of tuna now and again, plus the fact they're on dry food only. But with an over generous OH turned into an every day thing which I wasn't happy with  >:(  So now they only have a small bit with their dinner... meanie mummy!

Would be interested to see what peeps have said concerning it being bad though x

Foxy and Rossi both love their Whiskas milk ... Zephyr's not that bothered ... they have is as their weekend treat.  Zephyr has a couple of slices of beef from the deli counter as his treat! LOL

When Jasmine first started coming to me I got her either the Felix or Whiskas cat milk. Then someone told me it's not that good for them, and is just a waste of money so I stopped. But yesterday I saw some in the supermarket and got her a bottle. She lapped half the bottle up before I could turn round, and gave me a look as if to say she'd missed it

Is it not good for her? She always has water too.
