Thanks, he's back to his normal self, no coughing or wheezing. He's really hyper today actually, has been chasing a ping-pong ball round the floor for ages. Got Dairylea for him to take his tablet and he gobbled it straight up :)

Hi Karen,

Sorry to hear that Meeko has not been well but it would appear that the Vet does not think it is too serious.

Hope Meeko is feeling better soon

That's good news  ;D  But a lot of TLC (in the form of extra treats and cuddles) will definitely accelerate healing  ;D

Have passed on the kiss. He's moping about looking pitiful. No dairylea in but I'll try him with a Webbox stick before bed, he usually loves those

Good news, I think he should still get a medicinal blob of dairylea just in case  :) Please give him a gentle head kiss from me and the boys

Yep, that's exactly it, Kirst, a mild upper respiratory infection. He had two injections and has a course of tablets home so hopefully that'll put him right as rain again. Thanks for the good wishes  :)

Meeko's not well

He's off to the vet at 5.10. His chest's been a bit wheezy the past couple of days and today he's been coughing, like a hacking cough. His ears are also very warm and he refused his dentabits last night - highly unusual for him, he's very greedy food-wise. I'm really worried about it because the cough sounds an awful lot like the cough my dog had through heart disease. But Meeko's only 14 months old so I'm hoping he's way too young for anything like that. Fingers crossed!
