New to the forum, I'm an american living in Leeds UK.
I moved over 3 years ago leaving my mom with my 2 cats, Little Girl and Penguin. After about a year of going crazy we adopted a 6 month old Burmese from a breeder who decided not to keep her as a breeding cat we named her Lirael and my poor husband never had any pets had to cope with this cat in a dog suit.
We had started to get Little Girl and Penguin prepared for a trip over to the UK to settle in with us in our new house but due to my mom being very ill and moving to a foster house Little Girl became ill with Fatty Liver Disease and lost her battle with it after a month of fighting and a fair few of vet bills. Penguin is scheduled to come over in May but while we were waiting we went to a local shelter and rescued a lovely 14 month old DSH who is now named Smoke.
Anyway, Hi!

:welcome: to Purrs, Sabrina.
Sorry to hear about Little Girl :( but hope all goes well with Penguin and you are reunited him (her?) soon.
We'd love to see some pics of your cats if you have any ;D

Thanks.
Losing Little Girl has been pretty hard, I hand fed her from 4 weeks old at the rescue that I worked at and in the end I couldn't let her go for adoption by anyone else so I took her home. She was only about 6yrs when she passed on.

There are other folders in there but yahoo just changed their format so I'm not sure if the direct links will work!

Hi Sabrina. Welcome to Purrs. What lovely photos. You must be gutted about Little Girl. Really hope you get Penguin soon. You'll have to tell Smoke about Penguin and Penguin about Smoke :)
-
I've been telling both Lirael and Smoke that their big brother (he's huge compared to my two tiny girls) is coming over soon.
Since we adopted Smoke she eats like crazy so I've a feeling we're going to need quite a bit of cat food for all three cats ;)

Hi Sabrina :welcome: to Purrs
Just had a look at the photos ...Smoke and Lirael are gorgeous and obviously love the camera! LOL
Sorry to hear about Little Girl :( I bet you are so excited about getting Penguin over here. How long will he have to stay in quarantine?
-
Thanks to a foster mom Penguin doesn't have to stay in quarantine, he just had to wait the 6 months in the US once that times up he'll ship.
Come on mid May!
I'm taking two weeks off around the time he arrives to get the house ready for him, give him lots of fuss and do a bit of DIY as well.
