I've just had this:
"We have lost a 17 year old male, neutered tabby cat with chronic renal failure. He also has a heart murmur, is mostly blind and deaf. I have attached a few photos to help you just in case. We live in Chellaston, just down the road from Shelton Lock.
We last saw him when my wife went to work at 0930 this morning – he had had fit previously and had been displaying the classical signs of a cat having suffered from fits associated with renal failure. My wife thinks that he may have got out of the house as she was actually leaving."
Edit to say He's the cat from this thread: http://www.purrsinourhearts.co.uk/index.php/topic,13907.20.html
He's also been fitting recently and was due to go to the vet this week. He is a very very sick old man and needs to come back soon. I have sent all the relevant information to mis mum and dad but they are distraught. He is in the Melbourne area of Derbyshire.

I have cross-posted onto Catchat if that's OK.

I was just going to do that so thanks Sam that's a big help!
Do vets keep trapping cages? This is in the opposite direction to my CP branch and to get the best chance of getting him I want to go and help straight after work tonight. If a normal vets' keep a cage or two his mum can be pre-armed for when I get there.

I'm not sure about cages, sorry. Hopefully someone will be able to advice or assist.

HE'S BACK! He was two doors down snoozing under a bush! Phew.
